Morning all :hello:
Back to work and school here and it would be so nice not to but hey ho ! On the upside I do love a good routine
Today's list:
Check banking, update sheet
Packed lunches all round. I've got a lucky dip leftover as I can't remember what's in my microwave mug
Hot drink for commute
Something out of freezer for tea
Pay some subs - comes from subs piggy so no effect on wider budget
Print a form off at work
Get a present down from the loft for a party later in the week and put a couple of things up there, get down a laundry bag to put winter coats in which will make some space in the hall.
Have a good day all. Purps.0 -
Hi guys,
Sorry, I'm struggling to post at the moment. It sounds like everyone had a lovely bank holiday
I had some nice bits and some fairly dull bits. OH seemed a bit out of sorts at times. Will try to list the good bits:
:heartpuls Started my pond
:heartpuls Used bits of twig and branch that we pruned as pea sticks
:heartpuls General garden weeding
:heartpuls Mowed and raked the lawn
:heartpuls Sowed some more bits and bobs
:heartpuls Cleared the gutters
:heartpuls Aired all of the curtains and shook the dust out
:heartpuls Went for a long walk and took a picnic
:heartpuls Fixed the bureau so it opens and closes ok
:heartpuls Painted the curtain batons while the curtains were down as they were looking decidedly grotty
:heartpuls Got a huge piece of gammon from the farmer's market for £10. Will get 7 meals from this.
:heartpuls Made Easter biscuits for the freelancers in work on Easter day
:heartpuls All treat spends from allowed funds
Same old workday list for me today:- B/L/D from stores
- Charge phone in work - done
- Water plants in greenhouse
- Gym at lunchtime - fed up. Back squat still stuck at 70kg

- Check PMP - done. I'm not rich either
- No alcohol
- OH to do housework
- Left veg box outside for collection - done
- Prep tomorrow's food/snacks
Have a good one all

Here we are again, happy as can be...
Glad to hear of all the nice bank hols had - hope everyone is ok, whether nice bank hol was had or not.
Car saga continues, totally fed up with it now and just want rid. Don't really know how best to sell a temperamental car though. When it runs it's lovely!
List for today:
- two load of washing out to dry
- wash all the free dog stuff received this weekend
- bike to work (am & pm, got to get used to this since the car *is* going)
- start supermarket delivery order. Mr T's has been rubbish in our area lately, not sure if it's worth trying one of the others?
- small top up shop for OH lunches (benefit of cycling, it will have to be small)
- take the recycling out to the bin instead of hoarding it indoors :rotfl:
- sort out gym bookings this week
- no alcohol
Going to start tackling my caffeine addiction this week too... wish me luck! :eek:0 -
Morning Purps & carrie
Sorry to hear oh is out of sorts carrie. Hope it passes quickly
I have finished my cardigan this morning :T however I'm not 100% happy with the outcome
Will post on my sewing group with a photo asking for how to adapt

Today:
* quick shower, [STRIKE]get ready and take pup for a walk[/STRIKE] we went for a massive 2 hour walk and madam went for a 1.5hr walk with oh after work. * promised madam I'd take her swimming (regretting this now!) phew have persuaded her to do something else instead!
* [STRIKE]make loaf of bread[/STRIKE]
* paint a cupboard!
*[STRIKE] washing in machine & hang out before heading off[/STRIKE]
* get madam's bag/clothes ready for school tomorrow
[STRIKE]* text friend's mum to see if she'll have her after school tomorrow (saving £7 asc fee!)[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]* making a small shopping list to swing by on the way home. Take bags! [/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]* make a batch of something for work during week[/STRIKE] currently cooking carrot & coriander soup. 19p carrots at Lidl :money:

Hello Easter Bunnies,
Useful day here. Mr f decided to take the day off he is owed, so I've had some human company as well as feline. Frugal efforts today:
*Laundry done overnight on cheaper tariff. All line dried for free.
*Rubber lamb duties. Enough left for a nice curry later tonight, some for an Epic Man Stew at some point & bones in slow cooker for stock.
*Found some forgotten elderly yoghurt in back of fridge, which I used to make a batch of garlic flatbreads for the freezer.
*Leftovers for lunch.
*Packed lunch made for tomorrow.
*Beetroot seed sown.
*Ditto climbing beans.
*Potted up my greenhouse tomatoes into their final position.
*Watered all veggies plus floppy rhubarb.
*Knit more of my current stash busting project.... still this cardi. Am on 2nd front atm.
Am behind with financial admin as didn't do my usual Monday morning catch-up/banking, so will do the most urgent bits of that tomorrow. It's my big monthly budget day on Friday, so can do all the ££ forensics then.
Cheers,

No expert but I've done a bit of powerlifting until injuries got the better of me (210kg back squat :j) have you tried backing off by 10kg and then working back up in small (2.5kg ish) increments until it stalls again? Rinse and repeat.
Been a bit AWOL here the last few days with the glorious weather and outsidey things to do (plus a day of "recovery" after one too many shandys in the sun :rotfl:
Not much spent to be honest though, and all planned for so all good.
Today
All work meals taken from stores
Making stock from roast chicken carcass
Checked banking. All good.
Washing drying in the glorious sunshine.
Looked into a cheap second hand bike to reduce petrol use even more and get more exercise

Evening everyone

DNMS, glad to read that you're feeling a bit better. Bet you get that cardi sorted in no time.
Pleased everyone seems to have enjoyed the holiday weekend overall - mine was also more good than bad.
It was my first day back at work today. The kids were particularly challenging but it was lovely to see my work friends again. I survived the teaching and I even had a free this afternoon to get some other stuff done as well, so I feel ok work wise.
Dinner today was leftovers from yesterday's lunch (cook once eat twice and all that). I must make sure that before I go to bed tonight that I decide what to have for dinner tomorrow night and get whatever is needed for that out of the freezer. I have an avocado starting to look a bit desperate so it should probably be something with that.
Bit of a tidy round in the house, changed all of the cat litter trays and now settling for an early night.
I'm counting a nsd as a bonus after the holidays I've had.
Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Evening all

Forgot to post yesterday for some reason - busy all day and just didn't think about it
Anyway, had to wait in for a delivery this morning, which didn't arrive till this afternoon, when OH took over so I could go to the post office, sort out my sales unit and get a few bits from Iceland. Having to stay close to the front door meant that I got some niggly things done:
Walked dog very early, before delivery driver likely to arrive
Checked banks
Took down net curtain in bedroom, washed, dried and rehung it. I loathe net curtains, but our bedroom faces the road, so is needed there. Cleaned the window and windowsill while the curtain was down
Cleaned the bathroom window too, while I had the window cleaning stuff upstairs
Pulled everything out of the airing cupboard and put away in proper places
Washed some blankets / throws and dried on line
Packed some of the camper van bedding in a large bag I bought at a boot sale the other day
Made a banana cake to use up 2 black bananas
Delivery finally arrived at about 3.30 this afternoon directly after I received an email to let me know there was a delay and they couldn't deliver till next week
Did a bit more sorting out in the garden - still quite a bit to do, and the garage needs sorting too
Made broccoli and anchovy pasta for dinner (quick, filling and yummy)
Early night calling I think!0 -

Thanks CCL
I think I've sorted it. Have pinned and will sew tomorrow. Even though I have sewn my size and graded the pattern to my measurements (taken some of the length out where my say shoulder to bust is less than the average 5ft 5" woman) I still need to take out 8 cms off of each side to stop it drowning me!
Will need to transfer these reductions to my pattern for next time I make it
