Morning all, hope everyone is well.
Today is going to be a day of getting ready for back to school/work tomorrow.
Todays list will be something like this..
* dishwasher on the quick wash doneand empty done
* load in the washing machine on the quick 30 degree wash doneand hang out done
* a 2nd load to go in the washing machine and hang out done
* go to aldeee for a big shop as we'd run everything down before holidays done
* update freezer list after the shop
* make families lunches for tomorrow
* sew up hole in ds1s coat as I didn't do it the other day (and check his school bag for holes) done, thought it was just one under arm that needed doing but no both sides had gone and his bag did have a hole so thats fixed now too, I just wish I didn't use my fingers as pin cushions!
* make sure kids have finished their homework and that it goes in their bags (they're good at doing it but remembering to take it back is another matter!) ds2 done, ds1 is dragging his heels!
* watch a film from our stash with the kiddos tonight and finish off a bag of popcorn
* share bath water and continue using up complimentary holiday shower gel/shampoo etc
** made a quick chicken curry for lunch as none of fancy a salad as its turned cold again
** bought 2 chickens on shop this morning which are both cooking together in the oven so lots of chicken based meals/sandwiches etc this week!
** booked gym sessions for the coming week
**
Thats enough to start with.
Take care all.Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.

Hi folks
Still catching up with the thread. Massive hugs to all those who are down, poorly, dealing with doctors and health issues and anyone who needs them xxx
I'm struggling with being mse at the moment. We've had to be really frugal for the past 4 months d/t OH's gigging drying up and my willpower is waning fast. I got a bit spendy in seaside town at the weekend although hopefully some of it can be got back - it was crochet cotton for things to sell. OH needed some new clothes and we got him 3 new shirts for £26 in total in the sales.
Went out for dinner on Friday for my friend's birthday but didn't spend much on drink as we were all tired and came home early!
In more mse things, I made another cheese, and used white vinegar then oxy bleach to revive one of OH's white t-shirts from dingy grey.
Today's mission:- B/L/D from stores - done
- Charge phone in work - done
- Turn cheese - done
- Sort never ending washing - done
- Set cheapo yogurt to strain. Am looking for cheaper alternatives to Quark - done
- No alcohol - done
- Check garden - done
- Poured dehumidifier water into the water butt - done
- Wash bath mats and peg outside as it's meant to be dry for a couple of days - done
- Bit of knitting. Am working on a sock as got fed up with crochet. - done
- Check PMP - done
- Prep tomorrow's food. Didn't do this last night and was all sixes and sevens this morning. - done
- Checked banking - expenses have been paid! - done
- Look into etsy or alternatives, think about how I might start properly selling bits. - have decided on a Folksy account and got myself a new email addy...

Although I do make a reasonable effort to keep my protein high. I aim for 90-120g a day. Although i'm not tolerating scrambled egg well recently which is a pain cos I hate egg whites.
Haha. Sounds like you've got a good handle on what you're doing anyway. Morning all
What a night last night. Windy and wet beyond belief!
Feeling human again after a good sleep. The last night shift is always the worst and the first day off is a daze.
Need shopping today so it's off to battle the crowds at aldee. I hate weekend shopping (advantage of working shifts) but there's lots of things we need now, so the time is right. Good that we've used up what we bought though and within budget again :T
Today
Shopping
All meals from stores
Check banking and update spreadsheet
Windy but dry so out washing out to dry
Clean kitchen with white vinegar (is there anything white vinegar can't do?)
Make soup with homemade stock from last week's chicken
Figure out how to disable autocorrect (it's taking ages to type posts with all these stupid changes it makes:mad:)
Watch the F1 (last one before sky goes, then it's highlights for free
)
Have a good one all :beer:Debts 14/6/2019 (LBM 5/3/2019)

Hi
Had a long needed NSD day yesterday, today and probably tomorrow as well, when I will also catch a ride to work. Still have food in fridge so all should work out, until payday Tuesday.
Today will be project writing, job applications and free walk w friend, as car is also grounded till Tuesday. Yay for the simple life, am thinking to try to sow some spinach in garden!

Will keep it, and use it for flushing the loo. For very many reasons (quite apart from the cost), I just don't like the idea of wasting that much water.
I do this too. I use the water to help fill the water butt (can't attach to the downpipe).
I also realised yesterday that if OH is going to have 3-4 baths a week (don't get me started...) then we could use the water for flushing the loo instead of pouring it straight down the drain!
ED: just noticed that DNMS mentioned I do this
If I wasn't renting, I would do more. It's funny how much you can save when you start looking around for it. I would probably use my washing machine water to flush the loo if I could rig it up.LBM 11/06/2010: DFD 30/04/2013Total repaid: £10,490.310 -

Cheers pipboy! I am aceing my sumo dl's at the moment though - I think some of the squat issue may be mind over matter
I'll give you updates so you can imagine lifts

Angry music and shouting forget you (or words of a similar meaning) at the bar helps:pDebts 14/6/2019 (LBM 5/3/2019)

It's just what I've been programmed
My conventional dl is better than my sumo. But it's to get my lazy glutes going I thinkLBM 11/06/2010: DFD 30/04/2013Total repaid: £10,490.310 -

Without wanting to turn this into a lifting forum, conventional is better in that respect. Think about how much more distance you cover. Wider stances in squat, and sumo stance on DL, is there to reduce the distance the bar travels, therefore making it a bit easier to shift bigger loads. To keep this DFW please ensure you do this with a discounted gym membership and second hand equipment
Have a read of starting strength by Mark 4k Rippetoe and 5/3/1 by jim wendler if strength is your aim. They both have good material ( and methods, tried both, recommend). Just try to ignore rippetoes diet advice as he is interested in strength and strength alone. (5000+ calories a day, even i couldn't manage it and I can manage a lot of food :rotfl:)Debts 14/6/2019 (LBM 5/3/2019)
