I really like that new Skin Blossom cream, I think it's as good as the Skyn Iceland one but a fraction of the price.:)
I have the hygienist tomorrow and then am going out to the cinema and a meal on Wednesday. I might wear my red dress as I haven't worn that outside the house yet.
You should look on YouTube for Marie Kondo. She is a Japanese woman who specialises in decluttering. I read her book a few years ago.
There is a whole thread on the Old Style section called KonMari 2018 & 2019 - The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up.:D
What are you going to see at the cinema?"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Aww .I want to see Dev Patel's latest one, but can't remember the name of it :rotfl:"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

There's not much I fancy at the cinema at the moment, well not enough to pay the admission price. :rotfl:
Pets 2 is supposed to be fun, and Aladdin is good apparently but I can wait until they are available on the likes of Sky or Netflix. The new Men in Black is out this week but Again I can wait.
I enjoyed the Take That screening and there's a Westlife one on 6th July.....but I am undecided about that one. The film I really enjoyed recently was Rocketman (life story of Elton John). I thought it was superb.
I am off to a comedy club tomorrow night with the Meet Up group. No idea what it will be like but it is something a bit different. All part of my master plan to try new things and get out and about.
Kitchen floor nearly finished.....looking good. Need to ring the architect next, set up a meeting to discuss upgrading the original loft conversion so it complies with current regulations. Had a good chat with the builder today and picked his brains on possible layouts and rough costs. My sister used this architect for her kitchen extension and the builder is happy to work with him again, so I'll see what ideas he comes up with.
I think that will be a project for next year....definitely not one I would want to tackle over the winter, especially if I have to live on site during the build, although I'm sure I could scrounge a bed at one of my sons houses if it gets really bad. :rotfl:
I don't think I have time to get it done this summer because it's a big job and there's lots to organise and plan first. I am not going to rush it because on a job this big mistakes can be very expensive. I thought I could start planning it now with a view to starting the work next May, get all the messy nasty stuff out of the way whilst the weather is at least warm. I think I might get my summerhouse built in the garden first .....somewhere to escape the turmoil. Lol.
Changed my plans today, didn't go shopping. It was a lovely warm afternoon so I got some gardening done instead - but apparently there's storms on the way - we are not done with the rain yet. .0 -
The hygienist said my teeth and gums are almost spotless.:T I was in the chair for less than 15 minutes today.
I'm very impressed with the water flosser as that has only been one week of using it!:A It was only £30 on Amazon.
I asked about teeth whitening and I might get that done next month.
I think we are just going to go out for a meal and drinks locally tomorrow and probably also on Thursday as we couldn't think of what else to do instead of the cinema.:o I haven't ever been on the London Eye but it is meant to be rainy tomorrow.
Not great for my diet but I want to do something as the dogs are at the vet for two days.:rotfl:
I just went for a brisk 45 minute walk and it is really warm here. Feels like it might thunder.
It just started raining here!0 -
I'm shattered.....plumber here this morning so have been making endless cups of tea in between weeding the garden before it rains.
Supposed to be going out tonight so need to rest now and then a nice soak in the bath later. Need to try and rescue my nails after two days of gardening.
Been a bit of struggle weight wise but I have managed to lose 1/2lb. I'm happy with that. I'm a bit of a tortoise but I'll get there.
To get to my birthday target I need to lose 3.2lbs in 18 days.
I'll give it my best shot.;)0 -
Wednesday - Opi do a 'Start to Finish' clear varnish that's a base coat, hardener and topcoat all in one. I've found it very good. I use it as a basecoat/hardener on its own or if (when) my nails are long enough to do a full manicure I use it as a topcoat as well. It makes your varnish last really well.Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0
