  • Haven't caught up, I've been missing for a while. Updates are:

    Good
DDs wedding was wonderful, I can't tell you how many people said it was the best wedding they'd ever been to, the food was wonderful and the sun shone, the children all behaved beautifully and a great day was had by all.
BTL house is going on the market, just waiting for tenant to move out then do a spring clean and hopefully sell.
Saving is going well, I've saved £1,500 in a month not bad. I have to confess most of that was ebay sales but it is all money.

    Bad
I haven't been well, change in med has been traumatic.
I need more tests so medical appointment this afternoon.
My osteopenia results arrived. It is what I was told at appointment but easier to take in when you see it in print. My problem areas are lower spine and femurs, hips are OK. Not sure if that is a good result or not. Speaking to GP when he gets my blood results.

I haven't been sleeping well so that isn't helping how I feel. Husband has told me I am losing weight again and he thinks I need to watch that, I realise he is right as trousers are quite loose. Some of us need to get together and give me some of your spare weight. I think it is harder to put on than to lose but maybe I have a biased view.

I will be having a read later, hope everyone is well.

LL I have to declutter the whole house, before the refurb in Nov.I have so much stuff, but have sold a few bits on ebay n shpock recently:D
This weather is really draining Me, can't believe it's mid June!!

I've got 30 items on ebay at the moment, 4 parcels to post on my way to medical appointment. I can't decide if it is better to post once a week on ebay or do a few every day. I am enjoying it though, lovely to be getting money for stuff I would have happily binned.

My DH is a hoarder so this is a big deal for him but I think he is starting to feel more positive about it.

The problem at the moment is that the house is in total chaos with piles of things to test, photograph, post on ebay or post to buyer. It feels like a fulltime job. I will have to have a break when school holidays start as I can't have all the GC here as my "system" will be disrupted.

    Hello Ladies,

Humpty it is really good to 'hear' from you again. It is great that your daughter's wedding was a joyous occasion for all concerned. :D

I hope you get to grips with your new medication soon. It really is harder to gain weight without feeling you are eating too much food for your stomach and dietary needs when you are not particularly big in size. I hope you manage to put back on weight slowly and control your weight gain in a sensible way.

Karaoke has changed from Tuesday evenings to Wednesday evenings, so I had a lazy evening at home with my daughter last night and I am off to Karaoke tonight. :) The weather is dry and warm so it will be summer clothing with matching sandals for me tonight. :D

    Good morning lovely ladies.

Hi Humpty, was wondering how you were. Glad you enjoyed the wedding. Hope you feel better soon. Gaining weight can be a slow job too. I agree with SUgarbaby try to do it in a healthy way if you can.

Made a good start on the back bedroom, lots of ladder work so a good workout.:rotfl: Meeting a friend for coffee this morning, then a mooch so not sure if I'll get much decorating done today. Tomorrow it's acupuncture and then out for lunch so probably none tomorrow either. Hey ho there's no real hurry.

It's a bit chilly yet but set to warm up again. Yesterday was so cold it was back to jeans and a sweater and even had to put the heating on at one point.:rotfl:

    Good morning lovely ladies.....

Well I am not Looking very fab this morning, covered in paint. Back bedroom now almost finished, and definitely finished for today. :rotfl: I need a rest.

I decided to paint it a creamy white, with a neutral griege carpet, clean and simple. There will be a wall of my turquoise fronted wardrobes so by the time I've added curtains, artwork and accessories there will be enough colour to offset the white and stop it from being too bland.

    Getting there.

Need to do a major clean up now, including myself. :rotfl: then hopefully enjoy the sun. It's a much nicer temperature here today.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

    Hello Ladies.

Yesterday I and 6 members of my family were all part of the celebration for my son's 19th birthday in Pizza Express Herne Hill. :D

There were only 7 of us celebrating as my oldest granddaughter and my younger daughter were unable to join us at Pizza Express.

We all had a real fun time, talking to each other, laughing together, eating great quality food and drinking very cold and refreshing drinks. No one was drinking alcohol as they found the non alcoholic drinks were more effective at quenching their thirst. :D:j

My son took his bag of birthday presents and cards to Pizza Express and opened them there surrounded by family. I photographed him opening them and also him blowing out his candles on a Tesco Finest Victoria sponge. :D

The food part of the bill came to £137. 75, so I used £140 of my Tesco Clubcard Pizza Express vouchers to pay for the food. The drinks part of the bill was £33.40 and I used 2 x £20 Pizza Express Gift cards that I bought over a year ago to pay for the drinks, they were left over after his 18th birthday celebration meal in Pizza Express last year. :D:T It was a very MSE celebration meal for all of us. :D

It was 34 degrees here in London yesterday, so I wore my Papaya red with white spots vest top with adjustable straps and concealed support, my Laura Ashley white cotton skirt, with my White leather Van Dal wedge sandals, my Ralph Lauren Polo brown sunglasses and carrying my red leather Osprey handbag. I was covered in 50 Factor sun lotion including my face. I wore perfume and layered it with the matching body powder. I wore solid gold jewellery with my gold plated Tissot watch. :D
  • Hi all,

I have been very quiet recently as got a bit ill and super busy. Sometimes it takes energy to be getting better. I get tried of the colds and congestion. it can be draining.

I have been focusing on the decor for the last week or so. I have done a deep declutter and really cleared out as much as possible. I don't think that i will be a minimalist but I want to get to the stage where stuff is either being used or a real treasure. It is draining doing the declutter as i have to let go of stuff. Stuff with associated memories and look at why I am keeping things with negative associations. So if it has a negative association, I'm not holding on to stuff that drags me down.

I have given away so much this year, it makes me afraid as I realize that my focus was accumulating objects and it is not fulfilling. Hopefully all my donated objects will have found a new home and gained the charity loads of money as it has freed me of the burden objects.

I have been focusing upon eating better- everyday and creating new habits. Im eating more plant based foods- I am not going vegan by any means but trying to reduce simple carbohydrates and increase my veg intake instead. I have introduced more fermented foods to alter my biome and loads of pre and probiotics. I feel that my mood has elevated and more positive. Hopefully it will help long term. My skin has improved and looks clearer. I feel like I am fabbing myself from the inside out.

sugar happy birthday to your son. It sounds like you all had a nice meal.

I can also confirm that London was roasting, but it has been a nice opportunity to wear some summery clothes, as it’s the first time the weather has been nice enough to do so.

As we are officially in July tomorrow, I will be able to start my holiday countdown. We are going to Greece and staying in the same hotel we stayed in a few years ago.
Can anyone recommend any cheap but quality luggage. We’ve always had soft, material suitcases, but have found that they have fallen apart after two years (bearing in mind we only go away once a year). So, I’m thinking of investing in some hard cases.

    Good morning lovely ladies

Sounds like you had a lovely time, SUgarbaby. and yes, very MSE. :D

SFT. Wow. You are doing really well. I agree such a major life overhaul is very draining and tiring but I'm sure it will be worth it in the end. It can be therapeutic and I believe there is great healing power in getting rid of all those negative associations. It's hard work, physically and emotionally but it's well worth the effort.

Like you I will never be a real minimalist but I am finding that less is definitely more. More space, more light, a better flow of energy.

Chanie.....I bought a nice hard shell case, paid quite a bit of money, the airline wrecked it first time it was used, broke the handle and damaged the wheels.. I can now only use it for storage. It's very frustrating isn't it.

Speaking of decluttering. After I had finished decorating yesterday, I blitzed my bedroom, looks much better, although it's only a temporary fix. Once the back bedroom is finished I shall be moving into that one whilst I decorate my room. It's going to be musical bedrooms for a while. I'm aiming to tackle some paperwork this week. Not my favourite job. Problem is my shoulder is really bothering me so I need to nurse it a bit.

Granny duty this morning so need to get cracking.

    Have a great day, y'all.
