The diary of a skint bloke's Mrs

Wow - life has been mad recently!
We've moved house now, and we're living in a beautiful house in the same area we were in before, which is cool. The landlord is ace and took us on no problem once we said we had a guarantor.
I got a 2:2 in my degree, which is impressive considering what I've been through the last two years. I'm more than happy with that result!
I have a job now, which I started in August. I feel like I've sold my soul a bit, cos it's for the collections department for a bank, but I hope I'm a nice collector in that I look to help the customer out however I can, to the extent of directing them to the right places for advice if they're looking to declare BR. The amount I've sent to this forum is unbelievable, and I've had a fair few tell me I've been the nicest person they've dealt with at the bank, and a few more say that no-one else from the bank has gone into such detail about where to look for debt/BR help. So I do feel like I'm giving something back in that respect....
But the most exciting news is that six months and five days after going BR, my hubby got early discharge!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We found out today - it was declared on the 22nd september.
I'm over the moon!
So now there's a lot of stuff to sort, and he's unsure as to the "obligations" he was told he still has to the OR so we need to find that out, but I can't believe it!
He's through, it's done, and now the clean-up begins!
I'm so very pleased, relieved and happy for him. It wasn't the living hell I expected it to be while he was BR - the only thing it affected us on was house hunting, but we found the right landlord so all is now good on that front.
So now we can look to the future and start planning for things.
Squeeeee!!!!

We kindof don't know what happens next now. What are the obligations he has towards the OR? What do we need to do now?
I still can't quite believe it's over....
Hope you're both ok

I know - it doesn't seem five minutes since we were in the court! I'm actually moving on monday from normal current account/loan collections to a more specialised area, so that's cool. The worst bit is the "you have an excess/shortfall of x amount on your account/loan, will you be able to make a payment by debit or credit card today?" line that I have to trot out....
Hope all is well with you
R
