@ Dalip - the meal was lovely! Fab food with good company - perfect!

The OR phoned the OH while he was at work today, OH is having a poo time at work at the mo, so had to ask if they could phone him back tomorrow. Hope it doesn't nark them too much!

I didn't sleep well again last night - maybe I'll have a better night tonight.....

Right, so two days after the OH goes bankrupt he gets a call from the OR office to set up the interview.

Telephone interview on the 29th April. That's aaaaaaaaages away!!!!

Ah well - at least it's not a f2f interview.....

Wow seems a bit of a wait RRWJ mind you I have not had my call yet and it has been 3 days:rolleyes:. Annoying really as I need to know if my Co op account is OK to use

They are either really busy or they are really studying my forms and I will be frisked by the pound police ;)

I expect the time will fly by though and before you know it it will be time for the interview

So OH went BR last tuesday. I pointed out that he'd been BR a week last night, and he said "OMG is it really a week already???"

He got the OR interview/information pack through yesterday telling him his obligations, what he needs to send them (most of which he doesn't have) etc etc. He also got a letter from the Bankruptcy Trust Fund  He read that, said "I'm not a homeowner and I don't want my BR cancelling - FORNICATE OFF!!" And it went in the bin.....

We haven't heard a sausage from the landlady, which we both think is a bit odd because we expected her to be round like a shot after recieving our letter telling her the OH had gone BR!

And apart from him being a restless sleeper and now sinking to talking in his sleep, I'm sleeping much better now the court date has been and gone!

So it's now a month into the OH's BR. Man alive has that zoomed by!! I've not been around much because life has taken a turn for the crazy, so apologies for that.

So what's happened over the last month? Well the OH has had a few letters from DRA's saying "you owe us this much, pay up now or else", and one from the court from his missing the CCJ payment. All of these have been dealt with in the same way - a quick phonecall saying "I'm bankrupt", and they've not been heard from again. One DRA called and said to the OH - "I'm going to be needing to take a payment today, so just go and get your debit card". The OH snorted a laugh down the phone and said "not a chance mate - I've declared myself bankrupt". The bloke ended the phonecall soon after that. :rotfl:

We haven't heard anything from the LL, so we're assuming she's not going to boot us out. We're going to start the hunt for a new gaff in a few months - we've got just under 5 months left on the lease here, and we want to move by the middle of August at the latest.

Barclays have let the OH keep his bank account with them - he got a letter telling him as such. He was really quite choked! He's having his wages paid straight into my account at the moment though, just til we recover from having to pull out £500.

So one month down, 11 potentially to go! Early discharge would be phenomenal, but he's not even had the OR interview yet, so we're not holding our breath.

Other than that life is pretty good. I'm procrastinating at the mo - my dissertation is due in in a week, and I've written a third of it so far (oops!), but my tutor isn't unduly worried, so that's good. Then I've got my finals in just over a month (eeek!!!), and then I'll be attempting to find a job. Or signing on if that fails.....

I hope everyone reading this is doing well - I have thought a lot about people on here, even though I've not been around for a bit.

    @ philnicandamy,

Tell me about it! I can't quite believe that it's a month already! This time last month we were wandering around town taking it in turns to be hit by waves of nerves!

OR interview is a week on wednesday, so I guess once that is out of the way then it'll just be waiting to see if he gets ED or not.

Will the OR have written to creditors yet, or do they do that after the interview?

    Hope you guys are ok!
