What's this about the free box with GB? Is it for existing members too??0
-
Ok I found out what it's about (power of Google).. The Harrods one is not valid (run out?) but the natural one seemed to work - it took 1p off of my order? Anyone else used this and can shed some light? Don't want to order it unless I'll get a free box really..0

Purplebutterfly - I have the opposite problem to you my hair is really fine, so fine I have to use childrens hairbands and they still slide out. Do you know if those spiral hair pins work with fine hair as well?0

That's the code I used and my total was also reduced by 1p. Code for the Harrods box comes up as invalid now, so I guess they ran out of that one0 -
I'm not tht interested in the ECO Glossybox but I would have given it a try if teh Harrods one was still available, but when I tried about two horus ago it was coming up as invalid, so probably all out of that one.
I am tempted by the 50% SSB 6 months subscription since I missed out on the 60% jubilee offer. I was happy when I was subscribed to SSB so I should renew them.
I did take advantage of the REN offer, I have recently started using my Liz Earle muslin that I got in a LIB box and want to stop using facial wipes so more muslins are always needed as recular face cloths don't dry overnight in this terrible weather.
I did have to pay postage but still got everything for £8.40 so will be happy to try things out.£9500/£10000 baby fund saved so far0 -

Etat Pur express purifying mask 50mL
wen (by Chaz Dean) sweet almond mint cleansing hair conditioner 60mL (never heard of this)
janet Iredale -tantasia about 10mL size (yup, another fake tan!)
mini Nail Girls nail polishes x 2 in gold and bronze colours
toe saparators
Yardley Peony body wash (what a load of pants. !!!!!! Yardley?) This is touted as a bonus item to make up for last months debacle.
So Joliebox duly cancelled as I can't afford to be disappointed on this level again next month!

bunberry - you're hired! :rotfl: No, honestly, that is really really helpful so thank you. Now we can justify our spending even better
Well, I used my REN Omega 3 and the frankincense cream last night and I'm using it again tonight because I woke up with gorgeous glowy, soft skin. I honestly think that the kit and the 4 samples are well worth the £3 postage charge - it's like a beauty box all in itself! Absolutely loving having all these little tubes to play around with.
Now, on a completely different note, I wondered if any of you had tried spiral hair pins?
To put it in context, I have ridiculously thick hair - it is strong and unruly and normal hair clips/pins/combs etc flee in fear at the sight of it. I can't even use "normal" hair bands, I have to get those really thick ones.
Anyway, I saw someone mention these spiral pins on a beauty channel on YouTube and I checked out the videos on how to use them. I thought they looked fab but when I went to buy them they were stupidly expensive. Then I looked on ebay and found 10 pins for £1 delivered. Woo hoo!
I used them during my whole holiday in Morocco and had a gorgeous, comfortable, secure french twist the whole time - which was just amazing for me.
I highly recommend them but the seller I bought from no longer has them so I've just ordered some more from a different seller. They're £1.19 for 10 pins delivered. I can vouch for the pins but not the seller - although I've never had a problem buying from China, in fact I even had my wedding dress made by one of the Chinese ebay factories for a grand total of £90 delivered and it was amazing.
Blimey, are you still reading? I just ramble like a mad cat lady
Okay, if you are interested, the link to ebay is HERE and there's a quick YouTube video HERE I bought some for my friend's 9 year old daughter and mum loves them because they're quick whilst daughter loves them because mum can do fancy hairstyles on her with them!
The End..............for now anyway
Spoilers in white.
I received the same Joliebox as loobylou232. I disliked the bonus item, as Yardley is not a brand I'd consider buying. I think we both got the dud bonus.
I dislike tanning products, so the one included will be given away as before. I liked the rest of it; the mini nail polishes are gorgeous colours, the purifying mask is full sized (glad I received this rather than the Salicylic Acid), and the hair cleanser/conditioner looks interesting (although more a shampoo than conditioner?).
It was a nice surprise to receive my box, and although I liked some of the products, is not worth me continuing with.
To make up for my disappointment, I received an Elemental Herbology Cell Plumping Facial Hydrator (15ml), from Whats in my handbag? :T:D
purplebutterfly, I will be trying some of those hair stylers, as my hair resembles an unkempt bush currently! :eek:New forum. New sig. Yes I still need to lose 2 stone!0 -
Hi Missli,
I got the elemental herbology cell plumping hydrator too from whats in my handbag and it smells amazingHaven't received my Joliebox, so don't know what I'll end up with, shame you were disappointed with yours.
I love this place :j:T:j0 -
Okay, first re:codes. They are NOT allowed on the "Grabbit" board but seem to be allowed on the "freebies" and "low-spend" boards which is why I've been allowed to post codes etc on the OP of this thread.
I don't know the legalities of it all but we seem to be okay here. If in any doubt, codes can always be posted on the "discount codes" board and then you can link to them from here.
So, I've had a Google (how did we live without it?) and I'll post the codes here for those who want the GB special offer - even though the Harrods box appears to have reached its limit, I'll pop it it so nobody feels left out.
At checkout on GB enter either code "HARRODSBOX" (March box) or "NATURALBOX" (April box) and the first 100 people to use will get a free box
DON'T FORGET YOUR CASHBACK!
SuiDreams, I can't see why they wouldn't work on fine hair but everyone is different. I looked at the makeupalley reviews of "spin pins" (this is their brand name ie expensive name) and people with fine hair are both loving and loathing them. Mind you, so are people with thick hair! The problem seems to be that "spins pins" are sold in a pack of two and people complain that two pins are not enough to hold a style. I agree - which is why I buy in packs of 10 :rotfl:
I make no guarantees that everyone will love them (and you will need to play around with them to find the best way of making them work for you) but at £1.19 for 10 pins, I reckon it is worth the risk.
If you Google "spin pins" you'll find lots of reviews and info and I put "spin pins fine hair" into a YouTube search which brought up lots of positive results.
If you look at Boots HERE you'll see that they are selling the offical pins for £5.50 for two pins. The difference is that the Boots ones are gold and have a nice little plastic cover on one of the ends to stop it being sharp. My Chinese pins are black and the ends can be scratchy if you dig them into your scalp with force - but I don't know why you'd punish yourself like that unless Christian Grey (50 Shades of Grey) told you to :rotfl::rotfl:Living with Lupus is like juggling with butterflies0
