Received Joliebox this morning from postie, it's exactly the sames as gentleorange's box, and I like the surprise item. I'm going to have myself a pamper session shortly, had a busy day.
After a bit of trying out my goodies I'm going to look up KIKO cosmetics with a lovely cuppa tea, thanks for posting purplebutterfly they all sound lovely.
Hope you all have a nice evening xI love this place :j:T:j0 -
My REN stuff arrived today!
only a day it's taken! (ordered late Thursday)
Ordered some spin pinsI guess my hair is pretty thick, if I'm doing a proper bun it takes about a dozen hair grips to make it stay up
if I just want to shove my hair in a bun and don't care what it looks like though, I just twist my hair and then fasten an elastic round the whole bun. A thick elastic though!
I'm lucky that my hair is naturally very straight, very manageable. It never does what I want it to, but its default style is long, straight and non-frizzy so I can cope with thatCan't ever curl it though!

I have used the invisible pores mask before after getting a sample size with an order - it's one of those strange occasions where, at the time, I thought "this is amazing, I must buy some".........but then forgot all about it. I'm hoping to be blown away by it again this time.
Thank you for that, I hadn't really looked into it and didn't know that they recommended using the detox mask the next day. So I copied you and am currently sitting here looking like Frankenstein, hoping the kids don't wake up in the next few minutes, because they surely would get nightmares if I came into their room looking like this.
How much of the mask did you use? I seem to have used almost the entire 5ml tube, don't think there's enough for a second application, which is a shame.
I migth have to do a second order ;-)
How did you guys go around the second account? Is it just a new email address or does it have to be a different delivery address/credit card?
I don't think I need more muslins right now but I might be able to find something else to order...£9500/£10000 baby fund saved so far0 -
I'm sat here with the glycolactic mask on! Smells citrusy/fruity, I love it! It's got some excellent reviews, hoping I can see a difference0

gentleorange, you are so sweet, you've made me blush
I can honestly say that I've never thought of doing either - and even if I had, I woludn't have a clue how! :rotfl: The only reason that I "seem" to know so much is because I have far too much time to do nothing but play on the internet
If I've given you any useful info at all then I'm really glad.
Rienchen - I used quite a lot of the tube but I *think* I've still got enough left for either a thick covering of the nose/cheek area or a really thin layer of my whole face. When you next use it, make sure you cut open the bottom of the tube and scoop it out or you'll lose quite a bit of product.
I'd forgotten how good it is at clearing blackheads and congestion on my nose. I don't actually suffer too badly with blackheads but because I'm pale, they are really visible. I also have the unusual combination of dry skin with large pores and this has really improved the look of them.
If you want to make a second REN account, just change your email address. If you want to be extra careful then change then name as well but there's no need - after all, you might have two people at the address with the same name.
Did anyone else order the sample size of the F10 Smooth and Renew Peel Mask? It seems very similar to the Glycolactic mask in that they both use papaya enzyme to breakdown the dead layer of surface skin, they both claim to improve skintone and they both detox the skin. Only the Glycolactic claims to plump skin and improve the appearance of wrinkles BUT if the F10 mask is "smoothing" then isn't that a similar claim?
The reason I'm wondering is because there is a £10 difference between the two products. I'm assuming that one is super and the other is super-duper. This needs further investigation methinks - I'm off to compare ingredients listings whilst daydreaming about Tom Hiddleston whisking me off to a darkened room and doing things to me that would make the devil blush :rotfl:Living with Lupus is like juggling with butterflies0 -

The site is a bit odd - there are discounted items that aren't in the sale section and some things aren't where you might expect to find them - but worth going through if you love make up. Some of the colours are beautiful and strange - I wouldn't wear some of them now but if I was 15 I'd grab them!
The standard nail polishes are currently £1.50 and contain NO Toluene, Camphor, DBP or Formaldehyde
They have magentic polishes for £1.50 too - although I think you need to buy the magnet separately for another £1.90
They also do skincare, suncare and haircare which is paraben-free for those who like to avoid parabens in their products and is unusual to find in a high street brand. They have a Factor 50 sunscreen stick in the sale for £2 - bargain!
The sheer range of products is incredible. Take eyshadows - you can have pressed, pigment, baked, cream, stick, liquid - and the colours are brilliant.purplebutterfly wrote: »

Thank purplebutterfly for the info re: the masks, plus the lovely Kiko cosmetic links. I loved the Glycolactic mask, it smelled divine, and followed with the eye-cream, serum, and night cream, and my skin feels really soft, but my pores look a little large. So will use the Detox one today. I only used 1/2 of one of my samples yest, so aim to get 2 uses out of each of my 4 mini mask tubes. I have a long way to go before starting the bigger sizes!:T
I didn't choose the Smooth & renew mask as it looked similar, but not as good imo as the Glycolactic (although might be wrong).
janedoe, I'm glad you liked yours.Mine was ok, but I was a bit put out that I got another duff item (the yardley bodywash), when everyone else got a fantastic one again. It sounds a bit silly as was the bonus, but it as a bit rubbish. :rotfl:
Lux still haven't taken payment, although Amarya have, so am wondering whether I will get a box this month, as love receiving them.New forum. New sig. Yes I still need to lose 2 stone!0 -
Used the detox mask last night and can't see any difference at all in my skin.
I think if I were to rebuy one of the it would be the glycolacti one, at least that felt like it was doing something for my skin.£9500/£10000 baby fund saved so far0 -

Did you wash it off or rub it off? What a shame - still, that's the whole point of this thread isn't it?
I did my "research" last night regarding the F10 Smooth mask vs the Glycolactic mask and it is exactly what we thought. I won't go into extreme detail regarding each individual ingredient because it would be a long and supremely boring post!
Suffice it to say that both masks share the same main 18 ingredients (including natural preservatives and thickening agents) which will gently exfoliate the skin by dissolving the "glue" the holds surface skin cells together and will also help to cleanse, purify and tone the skin.
The F10 includes one additional ingredient not found in the Glycolatic, whereas the Glycolactic includes a further 10 to itself.
So the F10 is cheaper because it offers a suface exfoliation, detox, toning and evens skin tone.
The Glycolactic offers the same but with stronger exfoliation, additional detoxing and generally more "skin feeding" ingredients for a longer term effect.Living with Lupus is like juggling with butterflies0 -
Hey guys. I'm all confused with my boxes at the moment due to the June lux & Joliebox being late.
The Joliebox that people are getting at the moment - is that the July box? I've checked my Jolie dashboard and even though I'm subscribed to a monthly box it's only showing one transaction from may (that was for the June box that came in July)
I didn't get my bonus item either, nor did I get the personalised item - I did email them but heard nothing back... I'll probably cancel this due to the order mix ups and lack of response via mail
Luxbox June box came July too, so I'm all confused as to when that's due. I think I'm going to end up cancelling this once my 6 month membership is up too as at least Joliebox has Facebook/twitter activity - Luxbox has hardly no interaction at all.
My SSB box is bar far my favourite - so much do I added another 6 month subscription thanks to the 50% code posted in here :0)
Bit gutted to miss out on the harrods GB though - I cancelled that box 2 months ago after a disappointing birthday box.
What else is out there worth trying? I'm seeing REN mentioned in here a lot (is it a beauty box?) so I'll look into what that is - anything else about?0
