Some services (Uber, for example) have a dynamic pricing system, raising prices on the fly when demand is higher and reducing them when demand is lower. It's a double-edged sword, but it can mean getting a cheaper deal if you've found yourself buying/booking when there's a lull in customers. On the whole, how do you feel…
Hi everyone, We know the Forum’s performance has been sub-optimal over the last few weeks, and for that we can only apologise. The site’s been experiencing stability issues, resulting in the ‘Gateway Timeout’ messages you may have seen. The Cloudflare ‘Verifying you’re human’ checks have been temporarily put in place at…
Reading various articles, and considering how few options the govt has to raise new tax, anyone thinking about this and how to mitigate. Seems about the only legal avenues to avoid, if it happens, is to either spend it or give it away, neither which come easy after saving for 40 years!

The estate has not been divided equally, with the lion share going to the residuary beneficiary. She stands to inherit a substantial life changing amount of money, and is unwilling to do the honourable…
Yet again a load of short-dated produce this morning, all Best Before 13 July (tomorrow). Makes an absolute mockery of Tesco’s claims that their pickers always select the best items and the longest dates. Happens very regularly, and my guess is that pickers are being instructed by store managers to get rid of the short…

How many days this month can you go without non-essential spending?
Whether it's to tighten your belt or not, have you done away with a service since the start of the year?
Ofgem has today launched detailed proposals for a major shake up to its Energy Price Cap that dictates the price over 80% of homes in England, Scotland and Wales pay for their energy bills.
If you're a Lloyds, Halifax or Bank of Scotland current account holder, the interest rate you're charged for using your overdraft could change soon as part of a fees shake-up. The Lloyds Banking Group, which owns all three brands, says millions of its customers will pay less after the changes – but a "few" will pay more.
