    I've been Money Tipped!
Was on the phone to a dear friend. :)

Had terrible headache this afternoon. Fir phone doctors today. They put some meds up for me as an urgency ( so ready for this evening) , but there was a blizzard out of nowhere and my head was dodgy so I called and said I wouldn't collect tonight, so if I'm ok I can collect first thing.

The smoke alarm beeping here was enough for me, code. It drove me totally mad and it only bleeped on and off for 2 days. A little trick we discovered was if we put heaters on and the room warmed up the beeping stopped.

Aw, hugs LIR. Headaches are horrible! I really hope that you manage to get some rest tonight and you are able to get the medication tomorrow. Have an evening curled up with your lovely pets.

Last night there was a mushroom in the bathroom. Now there are 3. They pop up out of nowhere, I confess to being a little fascinated by them. My carer is having kittens over them. There is little we can do because it's the pipes under the flooring of the flat upstairs leaking down through our ceiling. We have bleached the area but it only stops them for a while. The letting agent tells me that they are getting around to it.

  • Hello all! :hello:

I've been working from home today (haven't actually done very much but my 5th day of the week is unpaid so I don't feel too guilty). I have achieved a few things, though! Went to PO and posted a parcel for DH, and he reminded me that the brakes on my car are/were a bit imaginary. Went to garage and had them replaced, and they were simply lovely. So we have found a good garage (I hope!)

Also went out this evening teaching - I quite enjoy this!

No Nutriblasts today cos it's a fast day, and we are very good about avoiding sugar on fast days, so don't eat fruit. We did finish off some *blast of trumpets* HOME MADE soup, however. Out of the Covent Garden book, which I think someone on here recommended!

LiR and WaS - don't worry too much about how you rebound when you don't take meds. Some of this is probably actually withdrawal from meds, not just your base mental health state without meds, IYSWIM. If/when you stop your meds I'm sure you would be given a gradual reduction programme to avoid just this sort of problem. xxx

Well, I feel better now for making the effort. Gitdog and I were the only ones there so we got an off lead 1/1 lesson which was a lot more fun. It was all going so well until he had to walk off lead to heel past a rustling pack of biscuits.:rotfl:
Can't blame him though - I have the same problem myself.:D

This time of year it's helpful to remind myself that making the effort does make a difference instead of my annual settee slump. The running has ground to a halt though, can't talk myself into it when it's cold.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

I don't know if I recommended the covent garden soup books jobbing musician! but I do rate them.

I enjoy making soup from bits and bobs, but they give really nice 'meal' soups. I made the Christmas dinner soup from one of them and it was excellent. :). Of course I could have made a Turkey soup myself, but I was very impressed with this one.

My resident parent is not an as libbing cook at ALL. And fir likes a guideline too. Neither are stock makers. The idea of saying ...there is the fridge...make soup...would worry them a little. I think the books are really great introductions to soup making for people as well as being nice recipe ideas for more confident 'everyday' soup makers.

Same reason I read the comments on any article about ivf, knowing they'll upset me?

You mean I might stop wanting to bite people soon? :p. :o

I've been able to hold meds down since yesterday so I'm taking them. I only missed a couple of days. Is it showing here even?:o

  • Aw, hugs tea and code. It's for the same reason that I watch adoption programmes and cry my eyes out.

Good news on holding down meds, LIR! As I said I fall to bits about 12 hours after missing my medication. as JM says a lot is probably withdrawal though.

I don't blame Gitdog at all, elsien! I couldn't walk past the biscuits either! A packet of orange creams seemed to accidentally jump down my throat earlier...
