Well, it seems that I spoke too soon about my flow trickling off. Hit again with a vengeance during the spin class! Soaked through the highest absorbency tampon AND the highest absorbency pad that I can find! Still no cramps though, so the flow can do whatever it wants, so long as those blasted cramps stay away.
As for the spin class - never again. I think some of the blood on the pad was from my legs/pelvis area from having so much pressure on them. The area right between your legs where there is bone right under the surface? Yeah, that's so bruised I cannot sit on anything hard and sitting on the nice fluffy padded sofa is beginning to hurt. I was crying and shaking from the pain of the bike seat halfway through the class!
Anyway, hugs to everyone!0 -
Big hugs for pain and bleeding Mrs TM! I managed 2 spin classes before deciding it was *way* too intense for me!
I was constantly worried that I was going to fall off the bike and the seats are painful. I remember a lady I used to work with went to a spin class one day and for the next month had to sit on a special cushion because her poor bum was so sore!
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
would the special padded bike shorts help?Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0

Birdie - you did better than me, I decided that spin classes were not for me after only one class!!!!!!
As the only person in my year at junior school to fail my cycling proficiency multiple times (they gave up on me in the end) I have decided that anything with two wheels is probably not my thing!
My driving thankfully seems to be better than my bike riding.0 -
I can honestly say that spin classes get much easier as your bum gets used to them. But the bikes do vary from gym to gym, the ones in my current gym are lovely but in my last gym they were positively pointy!0

I'm having to lay on the sofa instead of sit on it to dice up the veg for dinner tonight. I think I'm ok walking and swimming, so I'll just stick to that until I'm half my current size. I *may* try a spin class again once I'm completely finished losing weight.codemonkey wrote: »would the special padded bike shorts help?
Nope. It's the fact that the seats are horrid, pointy, hard as a rock, and I had 270 pounds pressing on that one bone in my crotch! Butt padding I naturally have plenty of!:rotfl:
I miss my bike seat in the US. It was a wide shelf seat, nothing between the legs at all. Had to get accustommed to riding a bike with it, but I loved it! If I cannot find one over here for my bike, I'll definitely bring it back with me when we take another trip over!0 -
wow, I have to say I am seriously impressed with the speed of my gynae appointment.
I saw the gp this weekend, who agreed to refer me for investigation after recurrent miscarriages, despite the fact they haven't actually seen any evidence of the third.
I got a phonecall today from the appointment office, a choice of about five different hospitals, and my gynae appointment is booked for 27th march!! :T
I was going to keep trying until my appointment came through, but it's so close, I wonder if I should wait until I have seen the consultant?0 -
Twig pig like you my cycles are all over the place, I guess our bodies like to keep us guessing.... I don't reset my cd until af begins properly, but I would note it in my ff calendar, so you can discuss it with your GP / if you need to see a fs.
Yay for the fs appt Any name that is seriously fast
Love everyone's complaints about ov pains and bloating, I thought it was only me  I even get them when my body thinks it should be ov but doesn't, I think that's the PCO.
Am I impressed that so many of you have even tried spinning, I took one look at the class and decided it was too much for me :rotfl: think I am going to go back and try Pilates again though as I used to find that relaxing.
Still got my fingers crossed for you Abis0
