Birdie, I was thinking about going to that spiderman:p
I quite liked the ones with Tobey Maguire:o Were there some romance in it?:happyhear

I never really like Tobey Maguire as Spidey, he was far too wet for me (and pudgy by the 3rd film!) so I'm glad they've started again! :p Andrew Garfield is really good in it, you wouldn't know he's actually English! And his bum looks good in his suit! ;) There's a romance, this time it's with Gwen Stacy played by Emma Stone, whom I love! :)

    Hi Lily,

I had reflexology (never done acupuncture although physiotheraphy friends of ours swear by it in helping patients). I had two sessions and after the 2nd got my BFP. The lady was great, she was £25 for 1 hour (but she'd converted her room to a little beauty salon so it's not a "centre"). I found her on the association of reflexologists. She told me that about the same time a girl she'd been seeing for a few months to prepare her body for IVF (she won't treat you whilst going through IVF) also had a BFP. It was like having my feet massaged for an hour. She told me she was working on "clearing my tubes" and reducing tension in my neck.

Did it help with the BFP? I have no idea. What it did do is massively relax me about TTC. I would recommend it as even if it doesn't have any medical benefits the holistic benefit of relaxing is worth it in my eyes.

I quite like the idea of having my feet rubbed for an hour!

I do like the idea of acupuncture or relexology, but I've never had anything like that done before. The nearest I've got to pampering was getting my nails done once, and that was at a mate's hen party. I couldn't have my feet rubbed though, I can't stand my feet being touched, they would end up with a foot in their face.
One of my friends is a spiritual healer, I often think about going and talking to her about ttc. But not sure I believe in spiritual healing, then again what does it mater, if it works in the end.
Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.

    Hi Ladies,

    Findingmyownway – congratulations

Codemonkey – what a horrible dream. Over the weekend I dreamt that I was pregnant so when I woke up the next morning I did a pregnancy test despite knowing it was practically impossible for me to be pregnant – the power of dreams eh.

Time2deal – sorry for the painful AF

Atton83 – woohoo for the party.

    Sequeena – congratulations

I thought I'd post about seeing my friend over the weekend (for the first time since she announced her pregnancy).

I was hoping I'd be able to say that I was worried about nothing and I had a lovely time but I would be lying. It was such an awkward evening and I will still crying about it the next morning.

Without going into all the boring details I get the impression she was worried about upsetting me and therefore avoiding talking about the pregnancy. I didn't want to upset her by ignoring the fact that she's pregnant (as this is obvioulsy a happy and special moment for her) so asked lots of questions and tried to act all happy and excited. But I could pick up on the tension and I'm sure she could. We're both obviously trying to be mindful of each others feelings but I can't help but think that this is going to get in the way of our friendship.

So not only did I end up feeling miserable about not being able to conceive but I also felt really, really upset about the prospect of losing my best friend. I really did think after seeing each other the awkwardness would disappear but I think it just made it worse :(

Hugs birdie for CD 1 I hope this is the one for us.
Hugs for fannyanna too, that sounds really hard for you, do you think it will be better when she has the baby? I find I'm much more jealous about pregnancies and babies just make me broody?
    Fingers crossed niknok :)

Aww I hope this is our cycle too Lemon! :o

Think OH is starting to worry that he's the problem. He was watching The Wright Stuff this morning (he's not an unemployed bum, he starts work late!) and one of the questions before/after the break was about what percentage of men are infertile and the answer was 25%! He's had a couple of issues and operations in his nether regions over the years so maybe something has caused a problem, think the possibility is lurking at the back of both our minds and the unspoken may have to be spoken soon. :o Can he just go to the GP and ask for a test or do I have to go and get him involved as part of my investigations once I've been trying for a year?

Big hugs for Fanny. Sounds like it was really hard and I'm sorry you feel like you may lose your friendship over this. :( See how you feel once the baby has arrived, it may make you feel even worse or you may love the child and see it as a tiny person to love until your own child comes along. I'm with Lemon, I tend to feel more jealous of pregnant ladies than ladies with babies. I suppose because a pregnancy belongs to one person and is part of them and can't be shared. My heart aches for a baby but at least I can hold a friend's baby and share in the joy that they bring. :)

DH had an op in that region when he was young and that seems to be the root of his reduced count and abnormality:o

If he wants some investigations, you need to be TTCing for more than a year (unless you go private). There's some kits you can buy online though:p
