Hello again ladies, sadly have to rejoin you in ttc as my bfp of last month turned out to be ectopic. So recovering from surgery to remove fallopian tubeand waiting for cycle to restart. Will just chart for a couple of months and see if i can tweak a bit as i was ovulating very late, really need cycle to be a few days longer to give bean a chance to implant in the proper place.

Only one tube left so got to get it right next time!

Oh I'm so sorry JoJoB. xxxx

Birdie, when my OH went for his SA we hadn't been trying. He had mumps as a child in that area, and went with his concerns about ttc in the future (this was about 8 years ago), They did one because of his concerns. He had another one about a year ago as well, no one ever asked him on how long we had been ttc.
I can understand the reason for the year if there was no unlying problems, but as your OH had problems in that area, I think the best thing is for him to go and raise his concerns with the doctors. But that's just my opinion.

AF still not arrived, but on the upside I have absolutely collosal boobies today, and for once they don't ache. If we had actually dtd this month I would be so thinking towards a bfp (but I think that's only because there is no way it is).
Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.

Do you think short LP contributed to an ectopic?

Thanks for the advice QQ and Vesper :) I'll have a chat with OH tonight and suggest he goes to see the GP and take it from there. Not sure what happened when he was young, but he's got some scars and a few years ago he had a hernia in the area which put a lot of pressure on his 'boys' for about a year (until I dragged him to the doctor to get it sorted, what's with men and not getting anything fixed?!) :p If he makes it more of a question of worrying about the after effects of surgery they might be nice and test him now. Can't believe you can buy kits for testing his stuff online! What can't you buy nowadays?! ;)

So sorry to hear about your ectopic Jojo, so sad :( Take some time to heal and we'll be waiting to help you when you're ready to start again :)

Thanks for the hugs guys. Doing ok emotionally so far.

QQuaver, good question! Not too sure but have a feeling that the egg might suddenly implant anywhere it can when it senses af is about to start. And if af is starting only a week after ovulation then its still going to be in the tubes when it starts burrowing. This is intuition and not science tho :-)

I was suprised I got pregnant on only second attempt because i had just found out about the luteal phase thing. I thought it must be a very fast swimmy egg to make its way to my uterus in such a short time. Didnt even think about possible ectopic!

    I've been Money Tipped!
((JoJo)) - hope you are ok xx

Hi QQ hope you are ok a well x

Birdie - definitely get him to the doctors, worst they can say is no :)

I will make you all laugh - I wound OH up a treat last night. I had my big box from the Clearblue trial delivered on Friday and was going through it all last night. He was noseying in it when I said to him "you do know you agreed to give them a sperm sample once a week also". I had him believing me for about 10 minutes, hilarious!!

Nothing to report here, not had a positive ov test yet but only on CD12.

*hugs* to JoJoB, so sorry to hear about your loss

EWCM started this morning :) so hoping for a positive OPK in the next day or two. Before TTC I never thought I'd cheer at bodily fluids :rotfl:
