Hi, I've been a subscriber to comp mags for quite a few years and have never won a single thing. The only thing I get from them is loads of mail offering me special offers on their new mags. I have asked them to take me off their mailing list but still get junk mail.
The puzzles and prizes aren't that good anyway.
If you really enjoy doing puzzles, by all means subscribe but don't get your hopes up about winning anything.
I tend to buy a mag from the shop if I want one nowadays.

I have a query but am not sure whereabouts I should post it. Recently I have started entering Facebook competitions and am a member of the The Winners Circle (incidentally thanks a lot to those who post the winners on here).
My problem is when the winners names are posted in many cases I have gone to look and see what the winner actually posted so I can learn what is required to win in future but have not been able to find any post from the winner. This has happened twice recently, so can you please tell me if it is due to the way my f/b settings are set please?2008£3002009£13002010£15002011£41952012£21942013£1494

Sorry to post on this wall but not sure where to post. Please move as seen fit
I was just wondering if it is time to start a seperate page for all the facebook comps. Personally i cant be bothered with having to 'like' a page then get LOADS of posts on my facebook page. And at the moment it can take quite a while to look through all the comps and find the ones i want to enter.
If its just me then please ignore, however if anyone else feels the same can it bve looked at please

Perhaps Twitter should be included as well.0

I've recently caved in and got on FB, as more and more comps seem to be there.
In the future this might be the only way to enter anything
I know what you mean about clutter on my wall though.
Making a separate page might be too much hassle for everyone (BG's)etc.0 -
The problem there is where do we stop - my pet peeve at the moment is people posting blog comps without putting blog in the title, i dont follow blogs and its a pain to get into a comp and find its one of those, so for me i would want a seperate 'page' for them, you also have twitter, magazines, tv comps etc.
I think the best we can do, is encourage people to put 'facebook', 'twitter', 'blog' etc in titles so we can see at a glance if we want to click on the post or not.0 -
i have much better luck with comps which are not fb related and although i do enter a lot of fb comps i get sick of liking and sharing everything. i wish fb and twitter comps had a separate section. i hate blogs and never enter them.Just about to give up!0

I do enter Facebook comps occasionally, but my own wall is always full of posts from companies. Some I have had to 'block' as it seems that 9 out of 10 posts are by them, Benefit being the worst of them. I'm seriously thinking of stopping Facebook altogether, in which case I would love it if everyone remembered to put Facebook or FB in the title. I also do very few Blog comps, it has to be something I would really like to tempt me to enter them.Luck is believing you’re lucky – Tennessee Williams
