I fully agree with you thingamaBob

I think a sub-board would be ok but if members just added a note in the title us Twitter/FB phobes could just drive by.Much in the same way if people started the comp post off with the name of the company as the clicky or the full URL.It can then be seen without actually opening the thread so making sites that are not wanted easier to avoid.
• why are people so anti facebook competitions? isnt it just another website for entering competitions on?
• All,

Just received this today....beware since I certainly never requested a password reset for the Mail Rewards and the return address is

support-bwc1se4bg194s4au7k6zaqchqgxf7b@e.thehut.com

The original email stated;

Dear Mr.
Thank you for letting us know you've forgotten your password. Firstly don't
worry. Your Mail Weekend Reward account information is safe and will be just as you left it.

You can reset your password by clicking on the below link;

I'm not anti them, each to their own, I just find that they run too many voting comps and seem to make up the rules as they go along. You see the same names as winners over and over again and they also clog up your wall with posts annoying your 'friends'. I enter a few, but only when I have done any others that I fancy first.

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
I like the comps board as it is. I come in from work, have a few hours to comp if I'm lucky and work from where I left off, as posted. They're all in one place and I don't have to go searching for different types of comps. I for one hope it doesn't change :( xx

• I've not been comping long, and often don't read the T&Cs unless they're posted on here (writing too small usually, or just a bit lazy!) but i've just seen this on one comp...
Entries made online using methods generated by a script, macro or the use of automated devices will be void.

This means a program like Roboform doesn't it? How can they tell? And do many comps say this?

I think Roboform is fine.
This is probably more directed at the comp sites that charge a fee & enter for you. They'll use a script to enter the same comp over & over again.
I use Roboform & have won a bit in the past :-)
• Phew! Thanks weeowens...i was getting a bit worried there...thought all my frantic clicking had been in vain!

They're on the list of comps that can't be posted on this site:

11 Are there any sites, from experience, which are likely to generate lots of spam?
There are a few which have come to our collective attention as sites that, when used for comps, seem to generate lots of unwanted postal, email & phone call attention. These are listed below for your information, however, please do remember that this is only the collective opinion of other MSE Compers & does not necessarily reflect upon the sites themselves.

2minutedraw
4FreeUK
ABCWins
ActiveYou
Clash Club/Clash media
Club La Costa
Consumer Lifestyles
Consumer Opinions
Craftomatic Beds (Comps appear to be just a way to get a salesman into your home, especially if vulnerable/alone)
Emailinform
EZ Prize Giveaway
Fair Exchange
FindAPrize (questions raised if prizes awarded, slight spam, non existant company address, dodgy? Info here & here)
GetMeATicket
GetYourBillsPaid
GreatUKsurveys
Guide2Win
InstantPrizeDraw
Just-Rewards
Lingscars
MyConsumer
MyFamilyUK
MyOffers
NoizeMakesEnemies (Care - your profile with name, address, phone number & email appear to be on show with no way to make it private!!)
Nuts (comps.nuts.co.uk - comps are now run by the data collecting company Data Media & Research Ltd.)
OffersClick
OfferX
Opinioniser
Optimax (phone calls, letters & emails!)
PenicuUK.com (linked to Weatherseal below)
PickMeUpMagazine (Care: the magazine comps seem to be unaffected, but any comps which direct to comps.PickMeUpMagazine.co.uk are run by the data collecting company Data Media & Research Ltd)
Premier Christian Radio (lots of postal junk mail even when you opt out of future contact)
Prize4U
Prizes.UK
Plum Offers
PrizePunch
RewardsToday
Simple2Win
SupremeOGlaze (linked to Weatherseal below)

Tickbox

UK-PrizeDraw
VoiceInACrowd
Vouch4me
Weatherseal
Weather Wherever

Willowbrook (chairs) (have pestered with phone calls quite badly on some comps - see here and also here)
Win 4 Now
Win24
Zenith Windows (linked to Weatherseal above)

I'm sure people probably do enter them, but I don't personally.
