Hi,
In my view the prize is way off being as described.Maybe if you've tried the first avenues move it up a gear & get on to Edwin Mutton, mentioned here
and here
My idea of a private jet is..........http://www.netjets.com/
Although I think that would cost a bit more than £10k :-)0 -
Thanks Weeowens, Do you think I should go back to Fabulous Mag and say that I have had the details of the prize through and it is very different to the one described and that I have been informed that no phones are being given out as part of the prize? I'm Worried I'll sound like a moany old cow!
The Plane is still private, it's an easy jet type plane filled with the other 60 odd winners, but still very different to the simon cowel, £10,000 private jet described in the competition copy.0 -

I am after a bit of advice. I recently won this competition https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3472297
And as you can see the competition says value to £10,000, which anyone could guess is drastically over inflated, and also that the winners would recieve a mobile phone (I'm a lucky girl with this one) Havign been shoved between the magazine, 02 and finally the promoter of the competition i got the details of the prize and have been told no phones are being given away as part of this prize. I know the experience is going to be amazing but can;t help feeling the competition copy is misleading, the plane is definately not one like Mr Cowl would use (it's an easyjet job) and there is no way the prize is worth anywhere near the thousands of pounds quoted.
I really hope I don't sound horrible and miserable, I am just a bit dissapointed I guess and I am in desperate need of a new phone haha.
Thanks for any help at all
P.S. Haven't done a thanks in I won because it all got confirmed only today
i won a prize with them a few years back - tickets to a festival and goodie bag that was mean to be worth £1000.. the tickets were £50-£80 and when the goody bag came it was 2 rucksacks and some stickers. I emailed to ask when the next part of my prize was coming lol. and was told that was it. I complained and got nowhere with them. I should have complained to the ISP but couldnt really be doing with it all so gave up.
In short, make sure you complain! if these companies want to advertise these big prizes they should have to provide them!0 -
its still on the Fabulous link, so I would screenshot that before you complaim further, in case they take it down, hth.My light may be on, but that doesn't always mean I am looking at the PC - I am far more likely to be cuddling or feeding Tianna atm, so please don't think I am ignoring you if I don't reply quickly

I'd concentrate more on the phone element.Maybe once more to News International & then up to Edwin & the ISP.Good luck.
ETA: Sounds like Cowell rents the jets as & when but not from Easyjet I bet eg here: http://discussions.flightaware.com/post103313.html0 -
Thanks All, It's still going to be an awesome trip but it somehow doesn't seem fair that these companies can dream up a value and oversell a prize like that. Will definately get on to them about the phone though0

Does seem off, doesn't it.I cannot see how there is £10k there.0

News International & mobile phones - got to be something a bit suspect about it. Maybe the police have confiscated them all.
Just persist in chasing them about it, and good luck.0 -
