Often when someone posts a twitter comp they include a link to the specific post that people should retweet. It's great for me because it makes entering even easier than normal.
I don't often post twitter comps but I would like to know how to do this, ready for next time - can anyone tell me in words of no more than 2 syllables?
Last week's achievement was working out how to request a merge, well when I say "working out" I mean reading VelvetGlove's really clear post hereand trying it!

This is easier than it looks! Take harvey nichols as an example http://twitter.com/#!/Harvey_Nichols
Now to pull up a specific post, say the one posted an hour ago, click the time it was posted under the post and then take the url and paste it into your comp post.

That above is the post from an hour ago, try it and see if you can x
This is pretty much exactly the same as you do on facebook posts too xxx#JusticeForGrenfell0 -

I've not been comping long, and often don't read the T&Cs unless they're posted on here (writing too small usually, or just a bit lazy!) but i've just seen this on one comp...
Quote:
Entries made online using methods generated by a script, macro or the use of automated devices will be void.
This means a program like Roboform doesn't it? How can they tell? And do many comps say this?
Using Roboform, Autofill settings or anything similar on your computer is absolutely fine. This rule is referring to 'Automated Entry Services' which coincidentally I've just posted a blog about. People pay these companies to enter competitions for them using an automated script - in this way a company can enter a prize draw thousands of times for different people. It's a bad thing for the subscribers, the promoters and for compers too - and along with Loquax and Compers News I'm trying to encourage compers to join our campaign to get more promoters to add these T&Cs to their rules!

Jason at Loquax is also campaigning to make companies aware of automated entry services.
He's written several blogs about it -

Hello Lovely Forum Dwellers,
I am after a bit of advice. I recently won this competition https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3472297
And as you can see the competition says value to £10,000, which anyone could guess is drastically over inflated, and also that the winners would recieve a mobile phone (I'm a lucky girl with this one) Havign been shoved between the magazine, 02 and finally the promoter of the competition i got the details of the prize and have been told no phones are being given away as part of this prize. I know the experience is going to be amazing but can;t help feeling the competition copy is misleading, the plane is definately not one like Mr Cowl would use (it's an easyjet job) and there is no way the prize is worth anywhere near the thousands of pounds quoted.
I really hope I don't sound horrible and miserable, I am just a bit dissapointed I guess and I am in desperate need of a new phone haha.
Thanks for any help at all
P.S. Haven't done a thanks in I won because it all got confirmed only today0
