I would like to add an update to this. I won the post of the month for last month, so I used some of the money to get one of those little greenhouses from Wilko, and a few seeds, and I still have some spare cash(for once) I am putting it aside for myself!
So hopefully I will be growing my own chinese cabbages, chillies, butternut squash and mushrooms.
I got a few bargains today in the Co-op, found it the best day for yellow stickered stuff, bread for 25p, and pancakes BOGOF reduced to 50p, and BOGOF yoghurts. Im trying to see how it goes without going to the supermarket. Also oldest son is just about dry at night so a bit more saved there. GTG cos hes just gone loopy:(

    GTG = got to go!
aw gee shucks! I sometimes wish I was religious because then I would believe that God did this all to me for a purpose! For now I will stick to moneysaving!
Been into a job agency where it looks like there may be a PERMANENT vacancy that fits in with school, have an interview wednesday. Then of course i trundled off into sainsbury's on a rare visit, I do a trawl of the yellow stickers etc, so the kids were over the moon with cheese and ham balls, cream cakes, some economy pears, and I got a book about wine for 50p. Well I can dream can't I!?!
Also pursuing the CSA been on the fone a lot today sorting things out there - possibly!

I know I'm only a newbie but I just wanted to say how lovely it was to read your news and it sounds like you deserve it. I hope you get everything you want in the future.

Sarah that's fantastic news, just goes to show that good things happen to good people.

Good luck with the interview on wednesday. Do some research on the company and try to think of responses to the standard questions of why you'd be ideal for the job. Even if you don't get this job at least you've seen how easy it is to find something that will hopefully fit in with the rest of your life. You've spent about a week looking for a job and got an interview already, not bad going really.

    Sarah

    good luck for tomorrow!

The first few minutes of an interview tend to be crucial so arrive in plenty of time and keep telling yourself" I am resourceful" "I am a problem solver, innovative supportive and helpful" etc etc

Psych yourself up so you walk in feeling confident and outgoing while being a good listener and pick up on any vibes.

Have answers ready that are not lies but put the best spin on everything.

Concentrate on how much you have learned - they will be lucky to get you and we will all be crossing our fingers like mad.

If there is anything in the idea of Jung's collective unconsciosness then the influence of all the MSE rs willing you on should make it a walkover.

    Best wishes :):):)

Oh you lot you are so lovely:)
I know which company it is for, a major high street bank N ahem! at W cough cough est.
In a call centre !!! Horror of horrors? BUT they pay well and they are offering hours to suit me, i did a better off calculation before and the only way it would work is if i only had to get one child in childcare. I know you get tax credit help but paying 30% of the childcare for 3 kids soon mounts up.
Anyone seen the film 'late night shopping' I must watch it again, it makes the world of the call centre seem intriguing!
Just got to try and FIND a childminder now! Shortage of them around here.
Oh and I will look super smart, as I did in court - all my clothes came from the charity shop!!!
