Is it school hours they are offering Sarah? Will this mean you only need to find a child-minder for your youngest one except in school hols?

Good Luck with your interview for tomorrow. Fingers crossed for you.

The job is only a means to an end, while it may not be your ultimate career goal it get's you back onto the job ladder again. What sort of training and promotion opportunities are there? I presume they have a good pension plan so working for a bank could be a very good long term investment. Call centres have a high turnover of staff so you might be able to work your way up the ladder quite quickly.

My interview suit is a wallis one I got from the manchester oxfam originals place, certain towns have places they send all the designer gear so I got myself a superb bargin on a good quality suit. I'd actually forgotten that it was a charity shop purchase.

How do you find out where designer stuff goes. I could get to York or Leeds for a really good bargain but prefer to spend money on my four daughters. :):):)

Theres a really good charity shop near me, well a couple actually. One you have to trawl through, but it gets end of season clearouts from a local designer shop. I got a brand new Moschino skirt for £1.50, and I have seen Lacroix in there. Also got quite a few good pairs of jeans from there. Theres another one down the road, and I reckon that the slightly wealthier people from the other side of the tracks bring their stuff here, because it's on one of the main routes from here (working class, terraces) to 'there' big houses, double driveways and all that... These people only wear their clothes once or twice, if at all!

elona oxfam send most of the designer gear to special oxfam shops, i think it's called oxfam emporium and most large cities have them. check the shopfinder on the oxfam website to see where your nearest place is. as sarah says anywhere with a large population of wealthy people should have good quality hardly worn stuff in their charity shops.

aw gee shucks! I sometimes wish I was religious because then I would believe that God did this all to me for a purpose! For now I will stick to moneysaving!
Been into a job agency where it looks like there may be a PERMANENT vacancy that fits in with school, have an interview wednesday. Then of course i trundled off into sainsbury's on a rare visit, I do a trawl of the yellow stickers etc, so the kids were over the moon with cheese and ham balls, cream cakes, some economy pears, and I got a book about wine for 50p. Well I can dream can't I!?!
Also pursuing the CSA been on the fone a lot today sorting things out there - possibly!

Good luck with the CSA. Keep a note of the phone calls you make or if you have a statemented bill, highlight them. If you do win an appeal you will be able claim call costs back.

Charity shops are brilliant! I buy all my work clothes (and most of my casual clothes) from them. I don't tend to dress to smartly for work as I work with children with special needs and often end up covered with paint, playdough, shaving foam etc. However do get smart suits for interviews or when I am training staff.

Good luck tomorrow with the interview. Use the fact you got post of the month! It shows you have innovative and inspiring ideas and are a good communicator.

Thanks for asking. Well I dont really know yet, i went to a presentation, and got to sit in the call centre and listen to someone doing their job, had a chat with a few people. I am supposedly going back for an interview at a later date. BIG problem is although they offer hours of 9.30 to 2.30, as they advertised, they say they have a 'policy' which i didnt know of until today, of everyone working saturdays! NO WAY! Its hard enough finding a childminder, but I have no family near so I think thats that. They said they would 'discuss it' and let me know.
