    Sarah

Is there any point in writing to them explaining you could do the job standing on your head and that their policy is an indirect form of discrimination?

Hope it works out ok for you, if they are trying to attract Mums with school hours they will struggle to get them to work Saturdays I would think.

Where did you see the "9.30-2.30" hours offered Sarah? If it' was thru an agency i'd go back and tell them about the every other Saturday too, might not help you but might stop someone else going to an interview for hours they can't do.

If they do let you have Saturdays off, i think you should get it in writing. You don't want anyone backtracking once you've started.

A childminder down my street does have children on Saturdays as their mum works. But if you're having a problem finding one anyway, one that works Saturdays too might not be possible to find.

    "BIG HUGS" to you.

but I have no family near so I think thats that. They said they would 'discuss it' and let me know

Could you not make it a perminent arrangement with the person who is having your little ones whilst your going to the York Old Style gathering? The person is obviously trustworthy (or you wouldnt leave your children with them), and you may be able to return the favour. You maybe able to claim expenses for leaving them with your trusted sitter.

It will be such a shame if you cant take up this opportunity.

Oh dear Sarah. Can you prove you prove that you were entitled to council tax benefit? What about getting in touch with somewhere like CAB to see if they can help you.

    Best wishes
