  • Anyone seen any good deals for the Salon Styler ?
  • Got a pair of 'ghds' last year ( valentines day ) from hubby. He showed me the site he got them from, I was gutted to find they were fake as the hologram code wasn't recognised! He spent £89! To this day, haven't looked at them. Really would like a genuine one, but right now can't afford to splash out £110. Missed out on the ghd sale at asos by a few hours! If anyone finds any on sale please let me know!

Yes the code wasn't recognised, but when i phoned they said they could still be genuine, but i would need to send them in, i'd feel abit gutted though to found out they were fakes after spending £70, so i just left it. I do really want to know though...
sorry but I would say they are probably fakes, the code should always be recognised, GHD probably know they are fake and want to inspect them
I have heard before that ALL the hot pink GHDS on Ebay are fake basically because GHD stopped making them ages ago
the clincher would be to open them and see what sort of circuits they have, GHDS should have 2 circuit boards inside, the fakes often have only one.
removing the GHD logo caps is very easy and a good sign whether they are fake or not, you can tell by the screws, this is all in the guide below. i just did it to mine and the srews are identical to the real ones in the guide photo.

Excaltly my thought, contacted Ebay and have made a complaint, doult they will do anything now anyway, but when i go to buy some GHDs they will definantly be from the official GHD website, or else ASOS as i've seen people posting some good deals on here, only places I can trust.
