IMHO lots of mediums are not very good or not experienced enough. They can mis-read what they get, break it down wrong, say the very general stuff that everyone wants to hear (job, money, love life) - that is NOT tuning in.

A decent one will tell you something that only very few people know - eg, you and a friend stole some strawberries as kids an no-one ever found out. Thats to prove its not just them sitting onfront of you spouting pants. Then they should tell you what theyre getting - which may be different to what we want to hear! But as a medium you have to bear that in mind and deliver news sensitively.

I know more than 100 mediums, but I can cound on one hand the truly decent ones.

Messy - youre definitely picking up a lot, natural gift. Allow it to flow.

Mushy - your inner voice is alwyas on your side and there to help. Try and give it a go, even if its a little difficult.

Thanks urbanspirit, think I'm just a bit too scared :o I've been using the telly to ignore it all evening!

Sorry again about your work situation :( Where I am I've been asked to re-apply for my job, but my new job is twice the workload :( My line-manger/friend has manager to put the worst part of her job onto my new job role....everyone keeps telling me to go for her job instead, but I'm not that type of person. I know my friends will tell me I'm weak but I don't feel right applying for her job, even though she has 'shafted' (sorry, rude word!) me. Work can be stressful, can't it?

Sorry to hear about work related health problems. I suffer as well. Sometimes I wonder if one day I won't be able to work anywhere!

    Evening Shez! :hello:

  • Hello to Urban Spirit, whatamess and Philippa36. Thanks for welcoming me to the forum. I've lurked for ages, but this is the first time I have posted as it struck a chord with me. Such a friendly bunch of people here.

Urban, I am so sorry that you are having a rotten time at work. Its really scary to face moving on after a long time in a job. The type of situation you are in sucks the energy out of you. I honesty think that there is always something better out there workwise if you are really unhappy in a job. A few years back I had a job that I hated, but paid well and the best thing I ever did was to move on. It knocks your confidence horribly when you are not supported by your bosses. I bought a couple of self hypnosis CD's - one was about self motivation and the other built confidence. It worked wonders for me and once I left the job things got instantly better. Perhaps it might be something that would help you too?

I bet your health would improve too when the stress is removed from the situation. You sound like a smashing person and I bet you can do anything you put your mind to. Go for it!

    BFN,
    Noodles

I've got a great trick of working v.v. hard and keeping busy so I probably ignore all the warnings, hence being in such a mess! :D

Snap We should listen more. I knew when i moved into the house that might end up appearing on `under the hammer` that i wouldnt be there long (13months) it is the same with the house I am living in now I know I wont be here long, just dont know how long.

Have just found a great thread where people state their field of expertise you can pm them for advice there is some one there that might be able to offer you some advice urban they are in hr.

Cannot get the link to work so have given title to thread. think it is in dfw `advice experts list`

urbanspirit - i have been reading about yr job dilema, i can appreciate how yr feeling, i too was made redundant last nov after being there for 15 yrs!
Its awful knowing that certain people dont want you. They sound terrible people you work for, but i feel that either deep down you've had enough of being there and want a change but scared to? so somehow nature has a way of pushing you there? OR you are being sent to that office as a "hope" for the people of that office, maybe YOU and your calming meditation ways/spirit are what they are crying out for to make it a better place and you are being guided to help them????

Gosh, that sounds a little scary knowing that much! My gran predicted such things but I'm not sure if my inner voice gets it right. The house I was buying I was so sure of, saw three shooting stars the night I chose to move to that area (silly I know!) and feel happy whenever I visit the place. But now I have broken up with my OH who lives opposite and the house has fallen through I wish I had ignored the inner voice. Oh well, I bet it is all a learning curve really :o

You've mentioned your house before, so sorry you are losing it under the hammer. I hope your new place is a nice, temporary, resting place :D

Sugar is calling (C4)...back later. Now I know why I need to treat myself to a laptop so I can chill in front of the telly and still chat with friends...buying a laptop is not very MSE is it? :o

    evening MP!

Look at the time already! and I havent even read the OS daily yet! I think i take too long reading everything these days!

Last year I was suffering terrible PND (but didnt realise it, thought i was ok) and going through being made redundant/rejected - I cant tell you what a state I was in, but one day I went to docs and begged for help - which i got and now i am glad to say I am on the road back to my normal self.
Like shoppingnoodles - I bought a self motivation cd type thing and a how to be happy book (in charity shop). I listen to the cd in the car and do you know what - its really good and peaceful and it makes me think about what to do to be a more positive person and try to change my negative thinking. and that things (energy) comes into your life.

Also talking of inner voices......during my horrible faze I too kept having dreams and messages and thought that somehow i should be doing that kind of work. - having read that back sounds spooky dont it???

I like things like reiki, etc - when i was last pregnant i had terrible trouble with my feet and remained afterwards, I got hospital appointment saw feet department, who got me some inlays made to put in my shoes - however after a week of getting them i went to a spiritual day and tried the crystal reiki healing and after that the problems with my feet disappeared and havent returned - how weird is that - but i swear its true.
