if you've got one of the capucchino coffe machines make it frothy.
Or mix with an espresso to make a moccachino. Plus a little dash of brandy;)
I want one now. Who started this thread.
Shame on you:rotfl:0 -
There's an evil little French chocolate shop in the village that does 'proper' hot chocolate, just like in the movie 'Chocolat'. I have no idea how I end up there every week drinking hot chocolate after I've been to the library, grocer's, butcher's etc. They must be casting spells in there..........0

Well, I made it last night and one child loved it but the other didn't like it at all. Might have a go at melting the chocolate first as it was quite bitty rather than being smooth.
Thanks for the suggestions, I quite liked the idea of alcohol being added to it.:D0 -
Any of you in London, try the hot chocolate at Bonaparte, a cafe/pub in Waterloo station and Liverpool St station (they're the only one I know but they may have more branches).
They are open fairly early in the morning before alcohol is sold, and one frozen January morning I needed my little heart warmed. I went in for a coffee then I decided to ask for a hot chocolate and a croissant.
That chocolate was almost better than sex.Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -

Whoever suggested adding alcohol to chocolate?
Well, purely for the purposes of running tests on the varieties of choccy drinks that can be consumed and in a totally scientific manner, I have purchased a (big) bottle of Cointreau todayI hereby offer to be the guinea pig for such experiments, so you lot needn't bother yourselves with such a wearisome task. After I have consumed Cointreau, I shall of course, be trying other suitable alternatives
(hic)
(Not all in the same evening though)
OOOh - my 2000th post - yippeeeeee. Must go and have a celebratory hot choccy with cointreau(all in the name of science though
)

I make mine the cheapskate way - cocoa powder, a couple of teaspoons of dried milk and a sweetener or some sugar. Will definitely try it with alcohol, sounds yummy, I've always got some brandy in. Wonder what it would be like with Malibu?0

xxbutterflygirlxx ... Hot Chocolate and Malibu? Probably like drinking a hot melted Bounty

Mmmmmmmmm
I can certainly vouch for Malibu and Baileys (and with an added dash of vodka it's deadly) so I'm sure Malibu and hot choccy would be YUMMY!!!!
