Just before last Christmas we went to Venice and I had a little cup of hot chocolate in a bar. It was knee trembling. Thick, dark and just the right sweetness. The kind that leaves a moustache.
So good we're going back again this December so my OH can try it too.
Salyou can't take it with you...0 -

Now I've got to go and make a chocolate cake just so that I can get to lick the spoon!
I'd never thought about adding Cointreau to cake before - just call me a slow learner!0 -
The Malibu worked - well for me anyway, I like my hot choc sweet. I may have put a glug too much in though!0

xxbutterflygirlxx That'll be Malibu with a dash of hot chocolate, then!0

Heavens, I have a cupboard full of Lidl's 70% choc
I'm deffo having a "flavoured" choccy drink later, after I've finished cleaning up..........aka finishing the last glass of wine in the bottle so I can put it in the recycling tub
I have to say, I don't think I've ever thought of hot chocolate and knee tremblers in the same sentance before. But then, I have led a very sheltered life.............

Dear o dear.
I think I'll have a glass of wine now. Hot chocolate later.
And all because the lady joined MSE!
:mad:Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -
Well, I had a good doze between Corries, after my wine, so now can't be bothered to make up the hot choccy. However, I have found that just dipping a big piece of dark choc in your hot milk then sucking the melted choc off is almost org..........erm, well, it's delightful
Blimey, we're getting almost as racy in here as that lot in The Arms:rotfl:0 -
I made hot choc last night and it went down a treat.Firstly i grated a bar of yorkie into a tub,put 3 heaped teaspoons into a jug, added milk and zapped in microwave, gave a stir, mmmmmm georg and no need for the sugar either.0

You can also make a really nice, instant nutty praline chocolate sauce by melting toblerone triangles in a bowl over hot water - you can also stir a little double cream into the melted chocolate (optional). Deelishus served poured over good quality vanilla ice-cream (Hill Station, Cream of Galloway, Green & Blacks, etc)
naughty, but very nice
