    I'd say yes to both questions. As with most recipes it's best to experiment and adapt it to your own taste.

    Yep, I made it in the microwave as per the one of the reviews instructions, "Oh my, what a little sip of heaven! This was so delicious. I microwaved the milk for 30 sec, added the Nutella & microwaved an additional 40 sec and it was just perfect. Thanks for sharing!"

    Some choc doesn't dissolve but the dark expensive stuff definately works. There's a fine line between not chocolatey enough and too bitter so keep tasting as you go ;) .


    And don't forget the squirty cream on top and if you reserve some of the chocolate you can grate it over the top :D

    That's PROPER hot chocolate in my humble opinion. Now a lovely crumbly crossaint for dipping and I am back in Paris, watching the world go by.
