I made a hot choc off the back of this thread last night and it was like this
dash of skimmed milk in bottom of each mug
pint of skimmed milk in pan
3 dessert spoons of drinking choc ( tescos in a tin)
half teaspoon muscovado sugar
dash of starbucks gingerbread syrup
heated
then poured into mugs and topped with the dregs of a tin of squirty cream few sprinkles of brown sugar again and a sprinkling of Lindt dark choc ( been in the fridge for ages, wondered whast to do with em!) shavings
DEeeeelish:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
From one hot choc fiend to another..........
I would thoroughly recommend Ringtons........
Basically theyre a northern based tea and coffee firm, who in the north deliver door to door, been going 100 years, well known too. They were on tv, channel 5, Disappearing Britain not too long back.......
Anyway because theyre like 100 theyve started opening Ringtons Retail shops...... I know this because well I work in retail..............
Theyve only got three shops at the mo but they will soon be doing mail order. and internet too.
So OP if you'd like to PM me, I could maybe send you some, 9 flavours to choose from....its lovely stuff too

Not very good if you are on a diet or trying to cut down on the calories but what the hell!
The weather is absolutely bl**dy horrible so I need a comfort drink.
Anyone else up for giving this a go?
3 tbs of Nutella per drink may be a bit much for us Brits though.

Ok, just tried it and it is lovely BUT 1/3 cup of milk isn't enough, I added extra so ended up with about 2/3 milk.
You could probably use virtually a full mug of milk if using 3 tbs of Nutella.
It was scary seeing how much Nutella is stated on the recipe for this, I may reduce the amount by ½ tb each time I try this again, which won't be too often because of the calories that it must be laden with.
Worth a try though folks.
Very rich but very tasty.0 -
I have a friend who loves nutella, can't wait to give her the recipe, Thanks.monicas0

Wish I hadnt seen this cos it sounds lovely. But not good for someone trying to lose weight!!
It will have to be a very special treat for me. Maybe when i lose my next stone...0 -
ooooooooooo that sounds good, the website won't let me read the recipe, but I guess it's about bunging in a spoon (or more) of spread in milk and heating it up.
Easy peasy, I'm going to try that with the jar of cheap hard stuff lurking in a cupboard.
