tescos own in the blue jar? I thought that was OK but its got hydrogenated fats in. Weve got their hot chocolate now, which is OK with hot milk, but we never have enough milk in for hot chocs, altohugh we hve tonday and half a tin of squirty cream :T
Seemingly all the ones that you make with boiling water use hydrogenated fats in. We have to avoid those as Oh has cholestrol problems. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good instant Hot Choc and ones where you need to add milk.
Most seem so watery and disappointing
Many thanks in advance:)0 -

in Italy we drink a hot chocolate that is thick , almost like a pudding, very yummy. For each person stir a heaped teaspoon (or more if you like) cocoa with a little sugar or sweetener and approx. half teaspoon corn or potato starch into a cup of milk, ]
Niki - what potato or corn starch do you use?
Hi,
you can use any kind of starch you have in the house, also flour can do. Just stir very well when the milk is cold to avoid lumps. If in doubt use a lesser quantity of starch/flour and adjust next time when you have tried it.

The one I use most is the G&B organic one that you add milk too. However, I always keep a jar of Clipper Organic Hot Choc in case we run out of milk - it's one that you add water to, and it doesn't have any nasties in it. There is also the little Gu chocolate pots that can be eaten as a little choc mousse or you can add milk and make a delish hot choc.0
