I am running low on Hot Chocolate drink and looking for a change
Does anyone have any recommendations for a good instant Hot Choc and ones where you need to add milk.
Most seem so watery and disappointing

i use cocoa powder (usually cadbury's). I just stir a heaped tablespoon into warmed milk and add a little sugar to taste. Itis really yummy and not too expensive.
If you are splashing out I can recommend Charbonnel & walker (think i got the spelling right?!) its about £8 or so but a beautiful treat and does last ages.r.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -
It's not very OS, but Green & BLack's make a lovely hot choc drink (I don't mean the cocoa) where you add hot milk.
It's great if you find other hot chocs a bit sweet and sickly, this is definitely more of a grown up drink.
I've also heard Charbonnel et Walker's even more expensive hot choc is good. I haven't tried it yet, but I do have a tin coming in my grocery delivery on Thursday. I'm kinda hoping it won't be better than G&B's, because it's horrendously expensive!
I'm not sure that has helped really :-)0 -
Once you've tried Green & Blacks you'll wonder what you ever saw in Cadbury's.0

Talking of which - for a real treat, after you have made your hot chocolate, add a small splash of Tia Maria, some mini marshmallows and some squirty cream topped with chocolate sprinkles!0

Hi,
in Italy we drink a hot chocolate that is thick , almost like a pudding, very yummy. For each person stir a heaped teaspoon (or more if you like) cocoa with a little sugar or sweetener and approx. half teaspoon corn or potato starch into a cup of milk, you can add cinnamon or other spices if you like. Cook slowly until it starts to thicken. Enjoy.0
