You need to remember; things always get better in the long run! I remember when my mum died (1995) and wondered how I would ever get over that loss and I couldn't see past it at the time. 13 years later, it is not a raw feeling anymore; just part of life!

No matter how bleak things seem at the time, they do always get better in the end! You have not had a great run recently, and things seem bad at the moment, however, there is always a way around things - stay positive and the good times will return.

In time, you will meet someone else (I know you can't possibly imagine this at the moment); but you will!!!!! Finances will get sorted out over time - speak to your uni about hardship funds etc - there are many different avenues to explore - as a matter of interest, what degree are you doing?

Take care and just remember, things will get better even if they seem impossible right now - just hold tight x

    Hi Mupeteer! :hello:

Sorry to hear that you are having a sh*tty time of things at the moment. Definitely go and see your uni counsellors - they won't run when they see you, I promise - that is why they are there, so make full use of them!! ;)

I know things seem tough at the moment, and cyberspace people seem remote, but we really do care (and sometimes its easier to talk to those of us you can't see than those family who you can - I know I say stuff on here that I can't tell "real" people! :p), so come and rant with us anytime, because we really are here for you, and you will get through it...I promise! :D

My degree is in primary teaching. Another 2 years to go unfortunately.

On Saturday I got a letter from the uni commending my results throughout second year. It was great at the time but it has paled into insignificance now.

    I miss him so much.

I'm going to head to bed now. Thanks again everyone. It is so good just to have people who understand and don't judge.

  • :T Hi fellow insomniacs. This is my first post. I started looking for a thread on where to start once you become persona non grata in the high street banks and the late fees and charges are building up faster than you can earn. Then I got caught by this thread.

Muppeteer, if you're still awake, everything I've read from these people is true. There is always hope. What I needed when I was divorced, skint, unable to see my kids and persecuted was someone who cared. Obviously there are people here who do care. I have been where you are more than once. I wish you all the best, and I salute the people who are rooting for you.

Don't be put off by the name. Those of you who can spell will get it.
