I purchased a weekend break to Paris through an e-bay shop back in March, i tried to book it at the time for August but was told they could only book 3 months in advance, now i'm trying to book and just keep getting an answerphone, have left about 5 messages ( all polite and nice) over the past 14 days and no one has called back, nor have they returned my e-mails. E-bay and Paypal are not interested due to the time that's passed.
What should i do? The company website is http://www.xcite-travel.co.uk/
Went on it just now and it's temporarily closed?
Thanks Nicky

I emailed their sales team to see what kind of response they give with a general enquiry (email address from site under work) I received standard reply saying I should receive a reply back within 48 hours. It all looks a bit dodgy: ie Do not return your calls, site not available and do not respond to your emails. I think the last post about poo creek is right and that was putting it politely!!0 -
OP I really feel for you. What a nightmare. How much did you pay?QUIDCO £2827 paid out since October 2007:D0

I think posting his mobile number is an excellent idea. Im sure we've all got spare free minutes on our contracts that we could give the scammer a piece of our mind!!!illegitimi non carborundum0

I'm afraid you have been scammed... This man has been fraudulently obtaining money from unsuspecting people out of thousands by selling them non-existent holidays. I have been in dispute with him for months, and have been in touch with many others who are in the same position. I have been to my local Trading Standards who made a few investigations and referred the matter to Camden Trading Standards who are investigating the case. I would strongly suggest you do the same. The person to speak to there is David Hunt.
I have been given some great advice by a fellow sufferer... Even if you paid by Paypal you can still claim your money back if your Paypal account is backed by a debit or credit card. Go to your bank and tell them you want to speak to the charge back team. This is my next step.
Please be aware that this man is still trading and has is actually in the process of setting up a new internet based company - rainbowhorizons.co.uk
Good luck0 -
you should post in the 'warning rip off' section too0
