Trading Standards seem to be as useful as a chocolate teapot these days.....all I got (to a different problem) was a standard email reply saying they couldnt help.

Trading Standards are fully investigating these companies and Fraud Squad have been informed.

I had an e-mail from Xcite today stating i would get a refund in 14 days. I will let you know if i do.
Has anyone had a refund yet?

the fraud squad are not interested in less than 100k fraud.
local police are not interested as too busy dealing with speeding motorists and hoodies.
trading standards have a case load 2 miles high and about 6 staff.
hence these criminals continue to get away with it.

I have been promised a Refund on approx 8 separate occasions, the last one following a text message this morning, stating that I will recevie my money in the post tomorrow (Friday). I will post the outcome on this forum tomorrow.

If that is the case I will get back on the phone to the Fraud Squad, as I can guarantee that their takings topped £100k & still counting!!!!!!!!

Regarding Prestige Rail Services, Mark Honey (director of Cargo-D and Rail-Blue Charters) has made a post concerning all this.

Prestige Rail approached Rail-Blue Charters some weeks ago to provide rolling stock to operate a number of trains. Discussions were had and a provisional list of charter operations drawn up. Rail-Blue Charters is the brand name that delivers charter operations for Cargo-D. This is partly to distinguish it against Cargo-D's other railway and non-railway operations.

Provisional operations that were discussed with Prestige Rail are not going to go ahead.

The charter operations listed on the Rail-Blue Charters website are underpinned by both Rail-Blue Charters and other third party customers that are not associated with Prestige Rail. These will run as normal.

We are aware of the comments regarding Prestige Rail. However, we reiterate that Rail-Blue Charters and it's third party booking agent are not dealing with Prestige Rail or part of Prestige Rail in any way.
