MOT just a thought - can you get mobility/DLA whatever its called now, because of your hip and having trouble walking?

Hi Lindens!

In process of providing more evidence for DLA at mo as been turned down initially and I'm waiting for an appt with local CAB for help to appeal.

Silvercar, hadn't thought about car prices going down! So have checked Parkers Guide and see that the lowest price for my car is now £2495 at one time I'd have been disappointed by this but I'm delighted at the moment!

Re: the account I think I will look into opening a Co-op account as it hopefully will easier all round

Got parents evening at the twins new school tonight so that will take my mind off things for a while;)

keep going hun, the last hurdle now. Hope parents evening is a good one. RE the DLA, because you have put in for it when you get your decision, they will have to backdate it to that date. When we first applied for dd2 i appealed three times, in the end it went to a face to face tribunal, and they told off the DLA people for wasting my time, when this was so obviously a cut and dried case..i openly cried that day...so keep on at them. You will get there.

Hi BOB, I'm not surprised you cried! It must have been such a relief to get it over and done with!! It seems that everything is such a huge struggle! I can't wait til I'm well enough to go back to work and I'm not beholden to any council or benefit office:rolleyes: .

Hello MoTwins! Thanks for your support re my issues. All good and have written it on the threads :-D Re: Coop - I rang on the Sunday and was approved within 10 mins. I had my card on the Thursday!! I opened the account about 3 weeks before BR and they have been fabulous ever since. Best bank I have ever been with!! Good luck Hun. Rooting for you.

Just back from Parents Evening at twins new school - OMG :eek: reminds me of my first day at senior school!! Spoke to ex husband about school uniforms for them (its a condition of the Court Order ) and he wants details emailed to him before he will confirm that he will come down and spend some time with us buying them. He has also renaiged (?) on his weekend with the twins this weekend - amazing how he can move the goalposts when it suits him! Twins don't seem that bothered which is good and maybe a sign of how things will become in the not too distant future

Yes i did tell them. It was my opening sentence...''Hello I am going to declare myself bankrupt and need a new account''. The Coop guy said ''then you need our Cashminder account. its perfect for you''....how right he was!!!

Well done on parents evening....I remember them welll &| thankfully don`t have to go there anymore!!! Its only a temporary part of life .....believe me!!!!
