What ever happened to the ICE Fitter?

Options
No, I am curious as to why the ICE Fitter's thread claiming that they were going to get recompense for failing to take a ten minute journey to the Post Office and return their goods, the thread has closed.

Are we not to know the outcome of the SAGA of SOGA etc.

Dunno why the thread has been closed - but thank heaven it has!

I've read enough extracts of SOGA and different interpretations of it to make me dizzy. :rotfl:

All I want to know is the outcome of the case.

I don't claim to know much about the law, other than my basic consumer rights, but even I could see the sheer stupidity in his "case".

Stupidity?, from the man who posted a comapnies T&C's claiming them to be an excerpt from the SOGA?

I have emailed and asked why thread was closed it's probably because there had been no addition of useful stuff recently. but have had no answer yet

Quite simple. I had two windows open, one with the SOGA, one with the T's and C's of a company I was considering purchasing from. (Imagine that! Reading T's and C's before entering into a contract! What a radical concept!) and I copied the wrong one.

My husband will be most disturbed to find I am a man.

Umm might have been a convincing excuse had you not spent two paragraphs arguing the case based on the T&C's
And thanks to this thread you will know that not all T&C's are binding! especially ones that contradict statute.

PS i'm sure he already knows ;)

And then if you had continued to read the thread after I pointed out to you in subsequent posts of mine, ICE'S t/cs instead of just arguing you would have seen that ICE's t/cs specifically state that the buyer is repsonsible for initial return postage costs, to be refunded if and when purchase is deemed to be faulty and not broken by idiot.
