  • Good morning, this is your roving squirrel from the glamorous surroundings of, er, a national express coach! Just about to set off, four hours to london, then by 6pm i'll be in france! Got my lunch packed, even got a reduced 69p sandwich from tesco on the way :-) Hope you all have a great week... Au revoir!

Hellooo... I'm home! Tired and skint but had a good time, ate lots of nice food, drank lots of cheap wine, went on the big wheel, spoke quite a bit of French, tried on lots of hats, and saw some angry monkeys! Anyway, it was fun... On the DFW front, it was quite expensive, especially with the rubbish exchange rate so did a lot of shopping in the supermarket rather than eating out every night, and brought back some very cheap wine... and chorizo, yum. Plus a few things for Christmas pressies. Think it might be another pound till payday month though! Hope you're all well and have had a good week x

I was going to post a "welcome home" post just now before you got home! Well, anyway,

    "Welcome Home".

Glad you had such a good time, and spoke lots of French. Um, what's with angry monkeys???? LOL.

And as for what's new - check out the new pay £20k off by Xmas 09 thread!

  • Thanks for the welcome back! :-) Ah, the angry monkeys were in the "zoo" bit of one of the parks, they just squealed all the time and looked very aggressive. So back to reality now, went out for a few drinks with workmates last night (spent a whole £1.60!) and heard about the worsening office politics, sigh. Rest of the weekend is going to be very lazy! £20k by Christmas 09? Well it is the time to be thinking about new challenges for next year... blimey.

Just wrote a long post and then lost it, the short version is that at this stupid time in the morning I would appear to have become newly single. Not totally out of the blue if I'm honest about it but I certainly didn't expect it tonight. Maybe for the best although it doesn't feel like it right now.

Oh squizz ... lots of hugs. Posting at that time of the morning for someone like you with a dayjob tells me how bad it was .... I'm so sorry. Your light is out at the mo, I hope you're managing to get some sleep. See you later.
