I wouldn't bother with the tesco long grain rice, absolutely awful..just goes to mush. Their own Basmati, however, is not bad, and per kilo works out cheaper than the 11kg jar in the Indian section.
I would ditch the market value carrots as well, i am sure you can get better value per kilo in one of the other ranges...
I haven't tried any of the Polish products yet.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Had some 'difficult' relationship things to deal with lately, it's all OK but it's tiring having emotional conversations so often - especially in the middle of the night.
Oh god yes, thats a killer. Glad you're feeling a little bit better, anyway. I dwell too, its difficult, I know - I think exercise helps, but when you feel bad its the last thing you want to do. And I'll then stay up far too late, and just tire myself out. Hope you're getting to bed soon, on that note! All this talk of food - I'm afraid I'm hungry again..... OOps, sorry i missed that bit....i agree, i know how emotionally weary you can get from that. We have been a bit like that too, i hate it and probably added to my insomnia at one point..i found the easiest way to cope was to draw a line under the previous day and start afresh the next day..
Bonus is this place because everyone is there for you..take care squizz, i know it seems a long road with everything but you are making strides and i expect you are a totally changed woman. Also you have the Christmas market to look forward to and Hamlet if i remember rightly. xBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Morning all.. was distracted by Stephen Fry last night and then I dozed off on the sofa, did get a fairly early night but woken up really early by the wind outside - bit wild out there!
You are right Bob, things are changing, it's just so slow.. I have to remember what Hypno always says about 'baby steps'. And yes, I have the trip to France to look forward to. Never did get round to organising to go to Hamlet.. did notice that the lovely David is on TV again soon though
Got lots of (very monotonous) work to get through today, and then home to have a good tidy up at home - between the bathroom painting and defrosting the fridge, there is stuff everywhere and it makes it hard to relax.
Thanks you guys, you help to keep me going xxDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Absolutely, I'd be lost without this place... tho I've just realised I missed Simon Schama on tv last night - I watched the first one, about American water useage of all things and how its affected by American psychology, but to be honest it was fascinating, he managed to personalise it too. I love Stephen Fry as well, mind.
I'm glad we can all help one another on here...2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I missed Stephen fry.. i could listen to him talk about anything all day long. I have a couple of Harry potters on tape, just so i could listen on long journeys..they are great.
Shame about the Hamlet..i never organised it either, but i am going to London, so i can use up my airmiles on the London Eye..Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Stephen is repeated sometime at the weekend - I missed half of it due to dozing off so will have to find out when.
Very tired this evening (and cold!), just doing a few surveys etc then am going to head for the sofa and then an early night. Have updated my sig with new grocery targets, if I can stick to the £200 I would be quite happy as that averages out about £35 a month.Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
