Dusty - meant to say earlier, no inset day for my sons school in Worcestershire (got one on Monday though):j Ellie (Eleanor) Sophie arrived 10 days late on 19th November at 8.21am. 9lbs 1 oz :j0 -
Evening ladies thanks for all the inset updates - glad to hear that the whole education system isn't off for the day.
Not done much flying since last post. Been swimming, did tea and then OH cut the hedge (conifer) at the bottom of the garden which involved me holding the step ladder which was balanced on the bench. I cleared up all the clippings whilst he made kids beds and put them in them.
I'm quite enjoying having a while in the garden at the end of the day because you come to a natural end of the task rather than thinking just one more bit.
Planning on going to Brent Cross to have a look around tomorrow so not much flying will be done - master bedroom and landing for me and I've already hoovered so wont take long. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Hopeless Cook - hw on earth do you get so much done ?! I can't seem to get anything done at all, my LO was born mid September so not much older than yours. Luckily she doesnt mind the hoover . She doesnt get to hear it much though LOL
Like you I have had an ongoing projec of doing a Ruby Wedding present album for my folks. That was 3 years ago and I still havent started .....
And I bought 3 lovely Baby albums from Asda yesterday for the kids' baby pics - another roject to do at some time ....
Well you have all inspired me so my todo list for tomorrow is going to be short and sweet:
- decobweb everywhere
- dust hall, front room, main bedroom
- swish and swipe ensuite
- clean ensuite loo
- progress messy finances (evening)
- Wii Fit time (evening)

I always thought Edinburgh finished the week after us over the water, but it must be the other way around. That's good to know though, I was going to pop over one day next week, but will get it out the way this week now while the schools are still on, the shops might be a little quieter.gunsandbanjos wrote: »Thursday is the last day of term up here:eek:Started comping 29/10/2010

BTW I have discovered an excellent way to not graze and snack in the evening - get your husband to have a serious meeting of some sort in the kitchen.....
We have a lovely field in front of our house, its open space in a fairly built up area and used by dog walkers, little kids, big kids, joggers etc. The council want to turn half of it into a BMX park with spectator gallery and car park. Everyone local is against it, yes we agre the kids need somewhere to go but we think it should be somewhere with supervision and that a bmx park will just attract litter, graffiti, drinking and worse. Anyway long story short I am very proud of my husband who is heading up the opposition and he keeps having various concillors, neighbours etc round for meetings.
He and 2 other neighbours got a peition of over 200 signatures from our estate - there are only 150 houses, and they ran a meeting in a local hall last week to rally the other residents into lobbying their concillors to get it overturned. They had over 100 people turn up to this meeting, on 8pm on a Friday night, how cool is that. Tomorrow and next week he is going to town council meetings to speak in opposition to the lans. I am very proud of him for doing it
Anyway so all these people in my kitchen I am too mortified to go and raid the cupboards LOLJan GC: £202.65/£450 (as of 4-1-12)
