    Afternoon all

    WE HAVE SOMEWHERE TO LIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They have found us an army quarter in Elgin to live in. We get 93 days from when we arrive before they kick us out so that's a start. Just shed loads of other stuff to do now. Hopefully the other house in Elgin will come thru so we dont have to stay there for very long!

Got a guy comin from the British Legion tonight to speak to us about our debts. I actually worked them out at a hell of a lot more than my sig says and he is going to look at whether they can help us. We don't really want to lose the car as we need it for me (can't walk great distances/carry heavy stuff/bend or lift, etc, etc). Fingers crosseed they will be able to help with that and the essential bills for a couple of months till one of us can get a job!

We are looking at me going back to work full time if I can get my old job back at the social security office! Hopefully I will be able to get a supervisors job based on my previous experience and my degree! Am going to give them a phone to see if there are any jobs going so I can get in before I get back. Hopefully will be able to get one that I can start just after we move home, so we don't have to sign on (fingers crossed).

PPI claims done, and DH now has a lawyer who is ready and willing to take on the army. Sounds very confident, so hopefully he will have good news. I know DH doesnt really want to leave the army but at the end of the day, they are the ones kicking us out, so personally I would just go for massive compensation, but I think DH wants to keep his job!

But thank goodness we will have a roof over our heads! Have to fill in forms so my dad can pick up the keys for us.

Right, off to do more packing!

    See you all laterxxx

Well, the morning has come and gone and I'm cream crackered but still loads to do.

I went mental in the living room this morning, dusting and doing all the jobs I've been neglecting for the last...erm....two years?? Everywhere is spotless, I even deoderised the carpet and cleaned the skirting board, and sorted out our bookshelf. Hardcore.

    What I've done so far...

Tuesday Living Room, Hall and Stairs
    Level 1
    [strike]Vacuum floors and sofas [/strike]
    Level 2[strike]
    Dusting, even if around everything
Remove clutter making sure stairs especially are safe
Clean TV, other electricals and cabinets[/strike]

    Level 3 [strike]
Wipe light switches, sockets (make sure they are not switched on!!) and banister
Clean any other glass like mirrors, pictures etc
Tidy shoes, coats and bags .. wash any that need washing. See if there are any that don't fit, past their best or just plain uncomfy which could leave the house![/strike]

    Extra Mission:[strike]

    1. Paperwork clearance.. spend 15 minutes minimum sorting through those piles of paper.
    [/strike][strike]

    1. Vacuum under furniture you can manage to move without hurting yourself
    [/strike]
    1. Clean a window or two. [strike]

    3. [/strike]

So not a bad morning :D . On the downside, tried to be all experiemental and frugal and cooked lambs liver for lunch with minty champ. Hubbie wasn't a fan and I felt sick, so not the greatest cooking acomplishment. I am sure I cooked them well, I sauted them in butter after coating them in flour and fresh herbs, they were tender, not chewy at all and the flour made the outside crispy but there was no getting away from the fact that th ey tasted crap :( Minty champ lovely but I don't think I'll be doing that meal again!

Anyway, back to the chores, I've got to clean the kitchen from the liver disaster, and then do what ever jobs I have energy for.

Deffo going to do the corridor, and sort the outside shoes and maybe go into town for a walk....

BTW hubbie very pleased with state of the house so far, he keeps walking around going; 'this is clean!!! This has never, ever been clean!!!!' He keeps thanking me and I feel good about myself. Until I remember that this is probably what I should have been doing since day one :o

Have great afternoons everyone :T so much for the support and encouragement, its only day two and the stress level in our house is getting so much lower!

    Toodle pip,

Lil_me, hopefully he will find something that works soon. Have you tried the plasticky funny shaped ones? You can buy them online, can't remember where though, will have a hunt later.

That's good news Bonsibabe. Fingers crossed the other things fall into place for you too. Well done you on the lounge front zenjen, its a nice feeling when its all done.
I was a bobbin bobcat, delayed reactions on account of I've been asleep for an hour on the sofa. The waterboard dug up the street in front of my house to divert something or other, some one came yesterday to tell me to be in on Wednesday a.m. so they can turn my gas off. No problem as I'm on leave but also again on Thursday to switch it back on. Just had to phone my manager to beg to leave early on Thursday and things sound a bit chaotic there with one of my key staff off sick. Must not think about work when I'm on leave, must not think about work when I'm on leave...

Ok, I've about an hour before I have to go out and do the 'several jobs in one car journey' challenge. HHI and a shower I think. Back this evening. TTFN

Well i've done loads out of the house today - not so much in the house, but that is because they kept me in the bank over an hour.

Does anyone else get the full on hard sell when they go into the bank or is it just me? They wanted to know the ins and outs of mortgage/insurance/savings/ISAs you name it, they asked it. The best was, we are such a good credit scoring customers, we have been selected to have a premier account costing £25 a month  We already pay £17 a month, which i don't mind as we get our moneys worth with the things we use, but that is like another mortgage. I did get them to quote us for life insurance though while i was there, as we want it anyway, so i thought it would be a starting point, but then the !!!!!!s said they would ring me next week to ask me again about it.

I get to the stage where i do all banking online as they harangue me even when i go to pay a cheque in. Sometimes they even ring us at home, although i did ask them to stop doing that and they did, cos it is like stalking.

I would have done better, but a rental DVD came so i started to watch that while i could get one of my DVDs in without a barney fest. ;)

WM on 2nd load today, so i guess i will need to do a clothes sort at some stage today, but as i only have about an hour till i pick ds1 up i might enjoy it. Will update a list later folks.

Zenjen i like you - you can stay. I have been giggling away at your posts. ;) I think we are all like you so that is why we are here.

ifits good progress there from you too! Well done.

    Michelle, x
