I was wondering if when we get paid (I’ve only been paid from Gap up to now and only for one job) is there a breakdown in the amount or just a lump sum? I’m trying to keep track so a breakdown would be loads easier.
Also – on TNS, should I put down the cost of the meal (etc) in the expense part of the amount that they say this will pay up to? I’ve been putting the meal amount down, but now wonder if this means, that’s all I will get : :undecided TIA

Yes. I received mine on the 30th. Have you changed your bank details in the last 15 days as this can sometimes lead to delays.

RE won't be in your account until the end of the month - they (for some reason) tell you it's been paid a lot earlier than they actually do....

Hello to all the newbies! Here's a list I wrote three years ago, so sorry if anything is out of date on it:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=57920

My pay from RE went into the bank on the 30th June. I would give them a call and chase it up.
Here I go again on my own....

CookInMummy:

I actually learnt about interbank rates by reading what Martin says about foreign exchange. See here:

http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/banking/overseas-money-transfers

I use a Nationwide account because it gives a good rate when spending overseas (basically the interbank rate). But I think for foreign deposits (such as from BARE) there is a small loading of 1%-2%. I have also paid US Dollar cheques into both Halifax and Nationwide accounts and found that Nationwide charges a lower fee for USD cheque deposits than Halifax and also has a better exchange rate. My experience of cheque deposits has only been by negotiation (not collection).

Ta Paul - I obviously get the principal but not the lingo - as I'm with Nationwide too because they were the only bank who did not charge you to use your cards abroad (withdrawl or purchase) - so this is to do with interbank - I'm away to read this section.
