Good point. I'll make a note of the no. and times I called so I can check the bill when it comes in. I'm sure already half the fee has gone on call charges and thats not including printing costs.........

Oh well, we live and learn!

I think it sounds like an interesting idea.

I could second that, Becles. I did one yesterday and because my number is withheld I couldn't use the Rectel system, so I had to go to my Mums which was a pain and then aaarghhh when I got there although I got further, got through to RECTEL (slightly dodgy spelling possible there...) got a code but then couldn't get through to the client company! Time was ticking on, stress levels rising, I contacted the ms company but they didn't know why - then I had a brainwave:think: and fiddled with Mum's phone to change the setting from pulse to tone. So that's a tip for anyone for the future, might save you some stress and time or then again maybe my Mum's the only one with a prehistoric phone! Left it on tone, don't know whether that will affect her adversely......

sorry, in all that waffle I forgot the point of my post - to say that I tried at least 5 times before I managed to get through and at 10p a minute I must have paid out over £1 in phone charges - very bad situation..

Sinders I had the same thing yesterday and it took me quite a few attempts too - I emailed the company though and they said it could be possible to cover the cost of the wait if I told them how long in total I was waiting. HTH :D

What a good idea! I shall email too and say I was waiting in total for xx minutes and that puts me off completing a similar job. Can't hurt can it.

I'm still recovering though from the experience!

sinderella though not really much help it can be done via a mobile - though of course will cost twice as much! I'm just glad my landline isn't withheld - you'd think that was in the job info though wouldn't you :(

Yeah, I htought of using the mobile but reached the same conclusion. I didn't realise I'd be trying about 6 times at Mum's to get through though and I bet each time cost me 10p though it lasted less than a minute...

cookinmummy - thanks for that I will definitely ask the company to reimburse me - also I put on the feedback notes that they need to make the technical stuff clear in future.

I had a reply that the fee included the cost of the call - the fee was recently raised to include it

Yeah, I read that before I called, but since it was before I experienced the technical problems then maybe they will listen to that argument.

Like the look of the coffee job at the local train station in the morning. Good fee and only 20 mins out my morning before work.
