Would you recommend the flights?

Hi Bobthego I would recommend the flights. Apart from my near death experience I had a lovely day. Belfast is a lovely city and easy to walk around as it is very compact. The Northern Irish people I met were all lovely and curious why I had come to Belfast by my little self for 1 day. I just said I fancied somewhere different to shop.!!!

Well I was only stretching the truth a teeny bit wasn't I.

• Is it just me or do grassroots have hardly any assignments these days? They have one bank in my area and I have to be quick to get that! Ive applied to TNS but having been through the whole process yet, how are they, do they have many assignments, is it worth signing up? Im currently with RE and GFK also.

Cookinmummy they also thought I was nuts as Glasgow was recently named the 2nd city out of London for choice of shopping, most designer shops etc

So there's all these Belfastonians saying they all go to Glasgow to shop and there's me saying I have come to Belfast to shop. !!!

Flight is only 30 minutes too as it is actually only 100 miles apart.

I'm sorry you felt so unwelcome and ignored, Guy, and fair enough if other people have no interest in your idea, but I felt a couple of the reponses were rudely dismissive and insulting...chin up, don't let them get you down...

do you not get my point - the reason i think (and i know they would argue it) we are all Self Employed is that so they do not have to worry about the minimum wage... and that sucks IMHO

I get your point and do think its a good idea but I do not have any spare to help do anything of this sort, also, like Cookinmummy said, there will always be other shoppers to do the shops for very little. I just don't take the jobs that are not worth it as I guess alot of people do on here, but the jobs always go!

Haven't seen the thread, so not really sure what has happened

Keep your chin up Guy and keep smiling :)

superdoodledoodledo - I've hardly had anything from Grass Roots for months. Just had the occasional bank, and a visit to a local nightspot but you had to spend 3 hours in there and it's not the sort of place I would want to spend 3 hours in, so I declined it :D
Here I go again on my own....
