Huge, huge hugs. I know how hard it is especially when you are losing unconditional love. I had to do the same a long time ago and it hurt so much. What kept me going was the fact that I knew he'd gone to a fantastic home with people that could give him more than I ever could. He went to a home not far from me and I used to see him in the field on my way to work, at first I used to avoid going that way but eventually I plucked up the courage and I would smile every time I drove past as I saw how happy he was with the other ponies in the field. I know I did the right thing and you have too.

Big hugs from me too :( And trust in the knowledge that he'll have the positive impact on his new owner's life as he did on yours.

My friend lost her horse recently, it was stolen and panicked - they think it had a heart attack. She's been beside herself so I can see why you'd be sad.

Just wallow for a couple of days, it's definitely allowed.

mucho wallowing going on here. i'd calmed myself down a bit, then read jinky's sig which set me off again!!! got a biiig bottle of rose to drink....

got a text from the new owner and they seem so pleased with him which is lovely to know it just hurts knowing he's not in his field ready for huggles. usually if i feel like this i go spend time in his field, walk around talk to him for an hour or so and all is right with the world again,Gemmzie that is such an awful thing to happen and i am so sorry to hear that, atleast my little fella is alive and wellhugs to your friend.

off to drink rose and eat veggiemite on sofa while under duvet on sofa.

Hugs to all and thanks so much for your support. xxx
