I need a hug

Hey guys.
Sorry for asking but i really need a hug.
I've just sold DP. I know he is going to a loving home and will be very well looked after but jeez it hurts like hell!!!
He has been my constant companion for 3 1/2 years, he was the one person that was there for me through my year of depression and absolute hell, always there with cuddles and cheekiness to make me laugh.
I have looked at other options for him, such as keeping him and finding a rider for him, moving his field etc etc but i knew deep down that I had to do the best for him and knew what he needed and that was to let him go.
They are coming to pick him up this afternoon and i've got to go up there and see him go.
So sitting on the sofa in floods right now and feel like my heart is snapping in two. Anyway, sorry for the sad moan but i knewi could letr it out here.

Thanks guys. yes it is hard. it's harder than i ever imagined it would be. I'm hoping that i will be able to go and see him and he will only be 20 minutes away. it's just the thought of going up there this afternoon and watching him go that is doing me in right now i just wish that i didn't have to see it.
