ooh I'd like that but can't justify it 'cos I've got a good food processor/blender and a hand mixer too. It would be really handy for soup though......0

My stick blender, which I use to smooth soup and sauces appears to have had it, I cannot for the life of me get the bottom to link with the top!!!
so it looks like I am going to have to buy a new one....any reccy's I really do not want to pay a huge amount for one........Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
I have a Phillips one which has always been reliable and easy to clean, I don't really use the other whisk attachment, but do use the mini processor - especially for breadcrumbs. It only has one speed setting but I haven't found that a problem.
I bought mine from Tesco. Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!

I have a Phillips one from tesco too but mine didn't come with a whisk. The blender and mini-food processor are both fab though and it's really easy to clean. The way the top and bottom link seems very sturdy to, I'd be very surprised if it broke there.0

There's an earlier thread with recommendations for stick blenders that should help so I've added this thread to it to keep the suggestions together.

Mines is 10 years old now and still going well. It's used at least twice a week and have only had to buy replacement blades. While it does seem a lot it has lasted and is one of my oldest things in the kitchen. So little money - so much time :mad:0
