DenBen ~ that is interesting, because I too was told that the delay was to due with the glazed doors.

I too asked the chap to swear to me that I will definitely get the doors :rotfl: Like you said, I'll believe it when I see them

I too received the remaining doors yay! They are being fitted in 2 weeks so if I have any spares I'll let you know.

Well we got 'em. :T

Husband rang B&Q on Monday and they said they'd be delivered on Tuesday. He was in all day, and no sign of 'em, then he went to pick up youngest daughter from school and of course they turned up then! Driver left them next door, so we're now proud owners of a kitchen's worth of cupboard doors.

Just have to empty all my cupboards, sort them out, only put half of the stuff back, get rid of the surplus junk, buy 20 door handles and hang the doors. What a shame I just started a full-time job this week, so poor hubby'll have to do it on his own, eh? :rotfl:

B&Q think we are all stupid...and perhaps we are and it serves us right that huge greedy companies such as B&Q take advantage of our basic trust and then, look to 'get one over on us' and line their pockets!! Is anyone else aware of this practise? This is how to make money out of gullible customers, that is people who are probably quite hard up given the current economic crisis and the fact they are using the DIY B&Q to begin with. What you do is: in the summer you have a brochure for all your kitchen fittings at their normal price. By about the end of September - presumably when it is a slack time for DIY enthusiasts anyway, you print the so-called 'Autumn Brochure' which WITHIN A MONTH has remarkably DOUBLED ALL THE PRICES on kitchen cupboard storage!! One assumes that at least SOME people will still buy at these over inflated prices - but hey - it doesn't matter if they don't because..... in January - miraculously - the prices on EVERY SINGLE cupboard, drawer, door etc has been generously SLASHED by 50%!!! "Wonderful!" we gullible people shout - we're getting a half price bargain!! We are going to be able to pay EXACTLY the same price we would have paid 3 months ago - Lucky Us!!

ah but don't fret too much. Yes, B&Q are sneaky and overpriced at the best of times. But when they ran this deal i remeber it being advertised as '3 sets of doors, 3 weeks only' however within 3 days they'd pulled the offer. They assumed people would buy whole kitchens and be grateful they'd save a few quid on the doors, however it seems that MSE'ers did them out of the whole 3 ranges + sage green at a quid a pop. i know i sorted my kitchen out for £16 + handles etc:beer:...However just need to get someone to fit them now :rolleyes:
