i've read about nappies made from bamboo, apparently it soaks up more liquid than cotton and the nappies can be less bulky.

pdoff which liners are you using? i much prefer fleece washable ones, baby hated the flushable ones.

i am just clearing up some infected eczema on my belly, been trying without success for 6 months and the only thing that's worked now in the last week is to keep the irritants away, in this case it's nickel. not sure how to keep urine away from a nappy though :rotfl:my eldest used to get eczema in his nappy area and i found wet wipes made it worse, the best thing was to clean him with cotton wool and baby lotion, or water each time. don't know if that helps.

    lol!

i also used the body shop's hemp body butter on spud, that was great. a camomile teabag in the bath water works wonders on sore skin too. i used to just chuck it into the bath but it's messy if the baby gets hold of it and tears it up - i used to get them in muslin bags but can't see those anymore. i suppose you could put it into a sock - it's also recommended that you put porridge oats into a sock under the running water, doe dry skin conditions. anyway, now i just make a cup of camomile tea and pour it into the bath, but i'm no expert because we don't get much eczema, maybe one flare up each a year.

i hope it clears up soon anyway, poor babe.

Has anyone tried the reusable nappies by a company called Little Lamb? I'm thinking of buying some as they seem like really good value for money, but would appreciate any thoughts before going ahead.
    Cheers.

Littlelamb are currently giving away free samples of their new improved nappy - just register at http://www.littlelamb.co.uk/ and send £1 in stamps with your size preference.

I've seen some people saying that the Littlelamb nappies are prone to shrinkage, though others got on OK with them. If shrinkage was a problem then maybe it's been fixed with this new nappy.

I use boots all in one nappy. I found the quickest way to dry them in the tumble is put a dry towl in with them. If the nappy leaks, check his dinky is pointing downwards! If your baby has a sore bum, after giving baby a bath, put baby on a changing mat with a towl underneath and let the air get to it. Re-usables work out even cheaper if you plan to use them on more than one child, plus you can sell the back on ebay! I also got the grandparents to buy a few nappies and I got a couple half price from boots as the package was damaged.

my boots is selling off all the plastic pants, terry nappies and all in ones really cheap. might just be my store though, they seem to be downsizing their baby section, got rid of lots of baby food recently too.
