i noticed that boots own brand are reduced at the moment, i used them once or twice and thought they were similar to huggies.
boots usually do offers. a couple of times i've seen a boots code on here and bought them online using a code to get 1000 points or something like that, and spending over £45 to get free delivery. there's triple points so that's 12% back in points too. if you time that with a 3 for 2 offer, or extra points offer etc. it works out really cheap, and then you get them delivered too and can get a few month's worth of nappies all in one go.52% tight0 -

I would suggest doing a trial of the Boots nappies before committing yourself. I had a very bad experience of Boots nappies, and even the woman on the refund desk admitted they received a lot back, so I think they may only suit certain babies.
From what I have heard, no one has said a bad word against Tescos, not on commission, just trying to help!0 -

Has anyone tried the reusable nappies by a company called Little Lamb? I'm thinking of buying some as they seem like really good value for money, but would appreciate any thoughts before going ahead.

I have some little lamb applix nappies in size 2.
My thoughts
i've used mine regularly now for over a year and if I wanted to use them for a 2nd child I'd probably have to replace the applix after a while but the actual terry nappy has lasted better than my tots bots. The elastic is also holding up really well in comparison with the more expensive tots bots.
The 1st size are really miniscule but the 2nd size are higher in the rise than my tots so are not being outgrown as quickly by DS (22 months). he outgrew the tots size 2 at 19 months despite being on the bottom 5% for height (he's short!) and skinny.
I really like them and would use them again. The sets are very good value too.
However the prowrap really didn't suit my son's shape and I got leaks - I much prefer motherease. For me it's a thumbs up for the nappies, a thumbs down for the wraps. Other people I know who had typical chubby babies got on really well with the wraps - they just didn't fit my skinny son's shape at all.
I'm not sure i'd reccomend buying the first size as they are very stingy on the sizing unless you have a premmie or low birth weight baby but the size 2 have been lovely, and very good value for money as they'll last for any siblings DS may have.0 -
is it possible to get some sample re-usable nappies from anywhere? ideally i am after the velcro thingy. the ones that we bought from mothercare came with huge safety pins.
unfortunately our local council neither gives samples nor the one off payment0 -
i bought a size one little lamb nappy, it fit until he was probably 4 weeks old! they are really tiny! i loved the wrap, it was fantastic and lasted until he was much bigger, but he was a chubby baby so maybe that makes a difference.
as for samples, the way i sampled was to buy nappies off ebay, just one of each type.52% tight0 -

Some Advisors have hire kits which you can borrow for a nominal amount for one or two weeks. You can try a range of nappies in the comfort & privacy of your own home and see what works for you and your LO. If you are anywhere near Devon, you are welcome to borrow mine!0 -
i use disposables at night - huggies from boots with money off vouchers - got when there was voucher if u spent over £10 - as washables leak after a few hours. during the day he in shaped terry nappies that fasten with velcro - seconds from ebay - the odd dodgy seam but fine! with plastic pants on top. he has excema & round his hips / groin has got infected so doc given antibiotics, cream & told us to use disposables. want to carry on with washables really - anyone had a similar problem? have tried prefolds & a few others - kushies etc but they all leak after an hour or so.Cleaning the house while children are growing is like shovelling snow when it's still snowing!0
