Hey Snagglette,
Hope you survived ok last night-you are brave!
I'm in a right foul mood and need to snap out of it.
xEmpty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -
Thanks Bob - I just don't know how teachers do it!
Four kids was tricky enough!
NAGH, lol, it's really odd to think that people have 'proper' names too isn't it - I know quite a few DFW-ers in real life too, and it is very weird calling them by their real names after knowing them as Bunny, Tigtag, IA etc for so long.
Triker.....phew, you're scary! :rotfl: Feel like this thread has got me back up and running though, even if I AM still kicking myself over the missed £50 from Quidco. Onwards and upwards though, todays mission is to list my Natwest pigs on ebay - they only fetch a few quid as I don't have the full set, but it all helps.
Themaccas.....:j :j :j :j hurray!!! Congratulations, can't wait to see you posting on the roll of honour! I hope you have a fantastic holiday, we love France and can't wait to go back there.
Hi Sallyx  - thanks very much, I just hope we will be able to go ahead with the extension - I have got my hopes up now so will be gutted if we can't do it for some reason.
Beanie, keep meaning to PM you to see how you are doing hun - hope things are okay and I also hope you will have a fantastic holiday. 2 1/2 sleeps? Does that mean you are going in the middle of the night? I know it's tiring but I think there's something really exciting about going on holiday during the night!
Bunny, massive hugs sweetie - are you at home today? Shall I give you a ring later? It's natural to feel up and down when you are going through such huge changes to your life, but things WILL work out for the best, and I know you are going to be very happy because you are a lovely person and naturally draw happy and positive people to you. xxx"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Awww, my friend has just called with a bottle of wine for looking after her girls last night....she looked as though she was feeling rather delicate....:rotfl:
Our central heating has broken down....arrrghhhh!! We can either have hot water and tropical heat, or nice and cool, but no hot water. If it's not something we can fix ourselves, then we are going to have to try to live with it over summer somehow, as we need a new boiler as part of the extension plans, so it seems silly to pay a fortune to get the old one fixed. Once the extension plans come through, we could have a new boiler installed, as we have included it in the extension budget (when I say 'budget', I mean of course 'massive new mortgage'), but can't do anything until we know whether it needs to be in the same position as it is now, or somewhere else.
I've just done a survey and earned £1 for 5 minutes work....not bad considering a lot of them make you answer hundreds of questions for a few pence. Then I'm going to do some daily clicks while Natasha is asleep. Feeling like a proper DFW-er again!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Thanks Snags,
Yesterday was a big wake up call for me-felt so lonely at the Christening, a reet proper gooseberry. Then Joe doing his amazing slide diving trick upset me-like I was a bad Mom for not watching him every second and then not being the first one to get to him, argh! I'm supposed to be going to a wedding this Sat (alone, sigh) and I really REALLY dont want to go but said I have so would be rude to back out now, wouldnt it?
Also, I'm feeling rather angry at the entire male population at the minute-they are all just so !!!!.
Anyhoo, enough whinging, how are you?Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -
You're not whinging, you are talking through your problems with your friends.....that's what we are here for! Would agree with the male population thing though (except Ryan and Joe obviously
) - when I got in yesterday, I didn't even get a hello, in fact he didn't even look at me, just unlocked the door for me and walked away. He says he didn't mean to upset me......sigh.....
You are sooooo not a bad mother. Kids will be kids, and you can't watch them every second (and if you do, they wont learn independance). Joe is one of those kids (like Natasha) who needs to wear a padded suit and crash helmet at all times I think, bless him. They do grow out of it though, eventually!
If you can face it, go to the wedding and have a fab time - but if you're not enjoying it, or can't face going, well, one of the kids can be 'mysteriously ill with a sudden stomach bug' can't they.Just do things in your own time, at your own pace, and don't worry about what you think people are expecting of you. Most people are probably too wrapped up in their own lives to really notice what anyone else is doing anyway! :rotfl:

Bluddy twunting wuckfit men.
What are they LIKE???
Not even a kiss-probably because he realised how much you actually do and was shattered...
God point about the wedding-I can always disappear can't I? I have work the next day so won't be drinking loads...
I have eaten a can of butter beans and a can of sweetcorn now-feel rather ill and should be suitably windy later I think, nice huh?
Did Ryan get to school in the end?Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -

Yes, Ryan was there 10 minutes early!! He's so tired in a morning that it can be a nightmare, but I let him eat his Shreddies in bed, and after that he got ready nicely. I am really cross with his school at the moment, as they seem to be resisting making any changes that would help Ryan. It's nothing that would have a negative impact on the other kids, or that would cost a lot of money, so I can't really understand their attitude. They 'don't want him to seem different'.....well, he IS different!! And he's going to seem more and more different as time goes on, so if letting him sit on a carpet square instead of the school flooring (which he finds very uncomfortable because of his sensory processing problems) helps him sit calmly and not disrupt the class, WHY is it such a problem.
Oops, mini rant over!
Bunny, you be careful, we don't want you taking off babe! :rotfl:
Beanie - if your Mum is happy to pay for it, and it means you get a nice holiday, I would just accept it happily - that's what parents are for.I know I will still take great pleasure in treating the kids to something, even when they are old enough to look after themselves.

He's trying to be nice now to make up for it, and I don't want to over-react, but it was honestly one of the most hurtful things he has ever done."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250
