Hi Scarlett! How funny that our sons have the same name, are the same age and have a similar condition! Funnily enough, there seem to be a lot of Ryans with it! Nice to meet you anyway.
Spud - hmmmm.....I'm wondering if the campsite has wireless?! :rotfl: Not sure what else I am going to do in an evening!!
Thanks everyone for your encouragement - I have missed you all too xxx
Louise - yep, I've already been lurking around the mortgage free wannabe boards a bit, and posted occasionally, but I will need to get going with that - our mortgage was going to be paid off in 10 years, but now we are going to probably have it until we retire unless we do something drastic!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Hi Snaggles
Just a thought - have you checked to see if you are entitled to a grant to "do" the house to make it "fit" for Ryan? A couple of friends have had extra bathrooms/bedrooms done for their ASD chidren? Don't know if your council do this

Hi stressed.mum - I haven't looked into it, but Ryan doesn't even get DLA (yet....another thing I should really sort out....:o), so I don't think we would qualify for anything. I will make sure I check that out before we commit to the extension plans though, thanks."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

Oh bum - I have messed up an easy £50 on the Quidco Payday Loans thing.
I didn't want to use my proper account for it (my employers would definitely frown on a transaction to that sort of company, and as I am about to ask them to double my mortgage, I didn't want to risk it). So I decided to use an old account. Managed to get logged on, and transferred £20 (as I was intending to borrow £80 and would need to repay £100, but would get £70 from Quidco). But then I messed up my Payday Loans application by saying I had a Visa Electron card instead of a Visa Delta (it doesn't say on the card which it is, and I picked the wrong one). So they just said straight away that I didn't meet their automatic criteria so they would contact me shortly to discuss it further. Booooooo.
That will teach me to do these things late on a Friday night!
Just changed my mobile phone contract through Quidco though and got £34 cashback. I was intending to go onto PAYG, but I know I would spend £20 a month, so I may as well just pay £15 on a contract and have a nice new phone with loads of free minutes, texts and video calling (woohoo).
I was going to buy Stu's phone through Quidco too, but I'm not sure if a second transaction with the same company would track - anyone know? If not, I will do it through 3 mobile's own recommend a friend scheme, so we will both at least get some extra credit."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Hi again :rotfl:
think this is the link to direct gov site that will explain - not sure that you need to be in receipt of benefits - it is to make the "disabled" persons life easier
