Tig, that was a lovely post, thanks, and not maudlin xxx

BBabe, yes, I remember the email, it was lovely and very appropriate in this case. Bearing in mind what we are facing, do you think me and this lady could sit near the drinks trolley? :D

She has just got a cold I think, but she's been sick (3 times...:() so she can't go to nursery. She's been up half the night crying, so I think she's feeling pretty crappy.

Hi Snaggles, hope Natasha is feeling better now :grouphug:

Your signature is really spot on - Ryan is right. And I don't really know WHY people do do all that pretending - myself included. The world would be a lot simpler if we did just say what we mean in the first place!

Thanks, he made me laugh and cry at the same time when he said it!

Natasha is a bit better thanks - she looks like she has 2 black eyes because she hasn't slept much, but having said that, we all overslept this morning and had to run all the way to school!

Ryan is being a bit of a menace today - he always is at the end of term, because school routine goes out of the window, and he can't cope with all the changes. I've kept him at home on the odd occasion, but I'm trying not to do that this year, because in a way I want them to see how badly it affects him.

He had his sports day yesterday, and he seemed to really enjoy that, particularly as his team won. I will try and put some photos on later, although they didn't come out very well.

Hope everyone is okay today xxx

Can't you set up a similar routine at home during the holidays Snags? So similar time to get up, same time for lunch etc

We do Gemz - he has visual timetables for his morning routine and bedtime routine pinned up around the house, and mealtimes are fairly fixed because Tasha starts screaming if they are late! ( I meant it's the routine actually at the school that goes out of the window - lessons get swapped around or missed altogether, etc - sorry, didn't make that very clear).

I like the summer holidays, because after the first week, he tends to settle down well and enjoy himself, whereas with all the other holidays, he is just settling down when it's time to go back to school again.
