Finish line in sight....but I'm running out of petrol....

Woohoo, payday - need to go and check the state of the accounts. I got paid £20 less than I was expecting - not sure why yet as I haven't had my payslip, but I might have had a few extra nursery hours deducted.
Stu hasn't been told officially, but it's looking like he might have a permanent route at work. The guy he is standing in for has appealed against the decision to take him off the route, but as he has upset a major customer, I don't think he will get put back on it. He did stacks of overtime last week, so I'm hoping he will have a good salary this week."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Right, we have £53.53 in the shopping/petrol account, which just needs to cover this next week's shopping (that we will do tomorrow). I'm not sure if Stu needs petrol or not - I think he filled up last week, so hopefully that will last another week. Stu got about £100 extra this week :j so he will be able to cover any extra petrol needed anyway.
Bills account - I can never work this one out because the bills go out monthly but the money goes in weekly, but there looks to be about £400 surplus in there - I'd really like to get a full month ahead in there, but that will take a bit of time.
Credit card.....ahem......theres £396 on there  but slightly better that £450 a couple of weeks ago!
Loan account - this months tax credits have arrived, so I've repaid the bit we redrew, so balance now £3677.61
And finally my account.....I have a grand total of £3.68 to spend this month! :rotfl:"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Woohoo, just earned another £4 from online surveys.
I made Natasha some couscous, chicken, tomato and cucumber salad for lunch, and she got hold of a handful and threw it on the floor....what a complete nightmare to pick up!! It used up the LEFTOVER SALAD VEGETABLES from my FRIDGE though (are you listening Mr Brown?). The only fresh veg we have left for tonight is carrots, and I've got some chicken breasts, but I can't think of anything to make. My Mum and Dad gave me a bag of new potatoes when they came over, so maybe I should just do roast chicken, potatoes and carrots.....unless anyone has a better idea? (Burlesque Babe, are you around?)

Wahey, at last a little tiny glimmer of positive news about the shares. This is the 6 month graph:
And this it today's graph:
Rocketing to the dizzy heights of almost £8 each! :rotfl:
(2 years ago, almost to the day, they went over £10 each....sigh....)"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

Well, they're having a bit of a bumpy ride at the moment, but this is the most promising sign I've seen so far this year......just have to hope the sharesave matures before they crash back down again, but I've got another few weeks to go yet. I can see debt-freedom lurking in the distance and I'm feeling a bit impatient about getting there now!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

Just looked back to the start of this diary a month ago, and our total debt was £4850 - it's currently £4073! :j That's £777 paid off! :j :j
So although I do waffle on about biscuits and stuff a lot of the time, I must do the odd bit of debt-busting in amongst too!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

Wow, Snaggles, you have done so well! :T
Can that £3.68 stretch to a celebratory bottle of wine? Mind you I have always believed that wine should be part of the grocery budget...0 -
Hehehe, yes, wine would be a great use for my spare money I think! :T
I REALLY need chocolate (it's that time of the month, and I'm stressed about Ryan's school report), but I have promised not to have any until 8th August! I wonder if Bunny would let me off on medical grounds?"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250
